  1. Oilers should trade for Gibson, he’s a proven #1…Husso is a gamble and Cambell was average in the playoffs

  2. Villie Husso is the Number 1 Goalie that should be an Oiler Next Season.

  3. Husso is interesting, but too risky for a long term deal. 2 years. 3 years if he's cheap. I think the trade route is a better way to go. The UFA cupboards are bare.

  4. Really enjoy watching your videos
Thank you and keep it up.
If ufa goalies get to pricey for Ken. Do you think ken tries to take a gamble on marzek having a bounce back year. Hes 3.8 for 2yrs. I read a rumor that Toronto was considering there options for trade or buying him out. Just because Holland has a past with this goalie it wouldn't surprise me.

  5. Husso would be nice for a 2 year deal.
Kuemper, Campbell and Holtby have injury problems so they are risks, I'd prefer kuemper.
Fluery probably goes to pitt at 1mil or 2mil per, to backup Jarry.
    nice video,
kuemper making less money than Husso makes 0 sense though imo since he's a proven starter even with his injury problems

  6. $20M for Husso is too much. Looks like the best option but Im wouldn't go over a 2 or 3 year term.

  7. I would like to see Edmonton sign husso. The other problem Edmonton has is they need someone like Calvin placard as well in bakersfield just in case skinner and or new #1 goalie in regular season gets hurt

  8. Husso is the best option of the four for us…… Problem is, that there are probably 6-8 other teams saying the exact same thing. He's not coming to the Oilers (or anywhere else) just because we want him or because we think he should. He's going to get plenty of interest and multiple offers; some no doubt, too rich, so he'll go where it makes sense for him.

Kuemper I think, will do somewhat better than this analysis should the Avs win the Cup; which seems likely at this point. May be too rich for us as may Campbell simply due to the fact that it's a tight market with many bidders.

Agree about Fleury. Be very surprised if he doesn't end up back in Pittsburgh.

  9. I think Husso would be the best bet for the number one goalie for the Oilers ! Plus if the Oilers can talk to smith to become a goalie coach and mentor Husso that would be great 🇨🇦👍🏾💯

  10. Fleury has refused Edmonton twice. He's also past his prime and not as reliable as most seem to think. I don't want him. At all.

  11. Husso is a good option. He'll be around a $4 mil per season signing and had decent regular season numbers. Jack Campbell is probably a better goalie than Husso but a high cap hit. Hard to see how the Oilers can afford him. Kuemper is someone I am not a fan of for some reason plus I'm guessing he sticks with the Avs. Why do people keep bringing up Fleury? He's said a million times he'd never play in Edmonton. Halak and Holtby are no. I think Tristan Jarry is a possible trade. If Matt Murray is bought out in Ottawa, he's possible too.

  12. I definitely got my money on Husso! He seems like the best fit to us. Would be nice to see a tandem between him and Skinner next season!

  13. …How close is Skinner? We know he will be an NHL goalie, but as a starter or a back-up?…There is only one way to find out, play him!….But does the Oilers "window" with McD and Drai, also allow for going through Skinner's development? If not, does that make Skinner trade bait along with say Jesse for someone more established? I want to keep Skinner, don't get me wrong, but time is ticking……Speaking of which, what has happened with Smith? Does he stick around as insurance?….He still has to have at least 20 decent games left in him, he did just outduel Quick and Markstrom…..how does he still factor in?….Lastly Husso…..There will be a bidding war for a kid who had half a good season?…..Kind of like what happened with Driedger? What happened there?……Even everyone screaming to get Fleury or Varlamov or Markstrom?….fleury was out the first round, Varlamov didn't even get to the playoffs, and Marky had to shake hands with the team he "could have" been on, with 40 year old Smitty triumphant. All reason to be cautious on the next goalie move. Yes do something, but desperation rarely results in a good deal.

  14. Don’t have too much confidence in Kuemper has not impressed me. He has great defence in Colorado that overshadows his talents. Marc Andre Fleury would be my 2nd choice.

  15. Agree with you on Holtby & Halk; wouldn’t be interested in them neither. Another great presentation Patrick. Keep up the good work! Have been enjoying your content. Keep presenting solo your sidekicks detract from your poise.

  16. Not sure about Husso based on his playoff performance and experience. I did consider that facing Colorado may have been too much too soon for the inexperienced netminder.

  17. Husso is about the best of the options with Kemper . Leave Fleury where he is. Relics in the net isn’t working well for this team. Looking forward to your next vid

  18. Hi Patrick. I say the Edmonton oilers should sign husso to a 5 year contract for 2 million dollars a year that is 10 million for the 5 years. Then they would have enough money to sign Kane and Jesse. What do you think about that Patrick. Andy.

  19. Why not just strap some pads on Kris Russell? He blocks more shots than other defence men! Maybe he’d make a great goalie? 😉

  20. It'll probably be Husso, if not then Kuemper. Husso will be cheaper.
Whoever it is we're going to be hoping Skinner shows he has what it takes to be a good starter in the NHL.

  21. Rumor is that Florida is heavily shopping Bobrovsky, and willing to retain 50% of his salary

  22. Husso is the one just right one to start plus too we have Skinner coming in his prime which is good can't really go wrong there

  23. husso could be a mistake. especially at 4×5. he's had one good year playing half the games. i'm not convinced he's a #1. campbell would be a better idea. what the oilers need is an experienced #1 to mentor skinner. and while mike smith is experienced, he's no longer a #1.

btw, where are you getting this cap space? koskinen may be gone, but nurse's extension kicks in, so you're not saving much.

  24. Smith was too up and down……how you can get pulled out of so many games and win so many games in that short of a period….is just bizarre.

  25. No,to all these options…lol…Why pay 5 mill to a goalie wit 57 games under his belt…No to Kuemper he probably turn down Oil already…No Holtby…No,Fleruy wouldnt come here

  26. Just translated it for the Devil's goalie situation. There's going to be a lot of competition for these goalie gentlemen.

  27. We should wait until trade deadline to see if Price is healthy. If he is, we could probably get him with some salary retention. We are ready to win now. He could put us over the top. Don't think we would have to give up much.

  28. Babrovsky from Florida would be a trade they should look at but none of the goalies except Kuemper. And possibly the Seatle Kraken.Florida is in a pickle, they are not happy with Babovsky.I think his value has went down.If Florida retained enough salary maybe.

  29. My 1st visit to your channel. Impressive analysis of the situation. I agree with your predicted contract amts and terms. Fleury might agree to a bit less with Pens. Your video illustrates just how thin the UFA market is for goalies. Think Husso would be the best UFA fit for the Oilers. I'll give him a temporary pass on his playoff play. His 1st NHL playoff experience. The D core in Edmonton not quite as good as St Louis, and Blues forwards play more defensive hockey, so there is that as well, but despite all that, still like him as on Oiler if the price is right.
