This is the best team the oilers have had in a while! I couldn’t be more excited for this season and hopefully a good playoff run!
Prediction: 1st in the Pacific
Reason: This team was already a wagon last year and now that they have a good goalie in Soup and Evander Kane for a full year they're going to be an absolute wagon as I think we all know Draisaitl and McJesus will keep being insane for them.

I got Oilers 1st in Pacific but Kane contract could get tricky based on how case settles? I'm surprised they were able to dump Keith cap as Kings had to take the Mike Richards recapture bonus even on contract didn't sign. I liked Jack Campbell that will make them a better chance to go into playoffs perhaps. Either way I think they should be in top 2 so voted even if think they will likely win Division. Injuries can happen I thought that Nurse contract was going to put them in tough spot only for them to get Evander too :).

Oilers took a giant leap forward last season especially in the playoffs. Remember halfway through last season when they were sinking in the standings & it looked like another season in Edmonton….? Then came the coaching change and the team looked a LOT different with Woodcroft behind the bench. Then the Oilers finally made that long-awaited deep playoff run in the West, they survived a 7-game marathon vs the Kings, took out the Flames in just 5 games…..but they ran into a buzzsaw in the West Final vs Colorado. Then the Oilers go out and sign Jack Campbell to help improve their goaltending. Expectations will be even greater heading into next season…..but there's reason to be optimistic about the Oilers for the 1st time in ages. I see them definitely being a contender in the West. At least a Top-3 finish in the Pacific & they might even finish 1st in the division too. Granted, there might be some added pressure on the Oilers to take that next step forward as well. But they certainly have the capabilities now to get it done.

A lot of terrible people on one team.
You have to wonder how much longer McDavid or Draisaitl will stay in Edmonton. I give it 1 more season together and if it's a flop, 1 or both will be asking for a trade to a contender. Some times having huge amounts of scoring power doesn't result in a cup. Prime example the Maple Leafs. You had 6 players that had 20 goals or more for the 2021/2022 season, Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, Bunting, Mikheyev and all had 60+ points or more, but they can't seem to get out of the first round of the playoffs……Take the HABS for example…they would LOVE to have just 2-3 60 point a season players but that hasn't happened….so stacking power like this is not working, you need a well rounded team from the front to the back. Edmonton loses 1 of these guys or both in the next year or two…put that in the books!!!

The Oilers have addressed most their issues in free-agency, and I think it’s going to pay off for them.
Cant wait for a Colorado-Edmonton playoff rematch. The games were really close, besides looking at the 4-0 sweep, all 1 or 2 goal games with the 2 goal differences being empty net goals. Should be good and the patches Edmonton had in the lineup should be fixed and help defeat the Avs. Lets go Oilers!
The forwards still look good on this team. I like the goaltender change. I think jack Campbell being traded was a bad move by Toronto. The tandem might struggle though. The D core is pretty bad though. It’s average at best. Ceci and kulak are fine but Darnell nurse is so overrated it’s not even funny. He was so inconsistent last year and made a ton of dumb plays. Say what you want about ability but consistent play is an important trait for a top four defenseman and he just looked terrible a lot of the time. This team will still get 2nd or 3rd in the league because Calgary and LA both really good.
Mattias Janmark, his Finnish is a little off sometimes… Of course it is… He's Swedish… give him a break
RNH and Hyman will bring 20 plus goals as well each typically. Plus Bouchard and Nurse contribute offence as well. Hopefully defence improves and they go far
As an Oiler fan I’m just worried how we made no defensive upgrades. Hope Broberg has a breakout year but he’s really young.
