Thank you for the video. Devils just signed Vanecek 3 yrs 10 mil. Blackwood is healthy finally. Don't expect to see Bernier again. Sadly, his injury, at his age, could very well be a career-ender. Dawes showed some very good signs last year. He had some rough games but also some shining moments. I would be comfortable if he needed to be called up due to injury next year. I like the D-core as well. They also have of course Luke Hughes on the horizon, as well as kids Bahl and Ohytiuk in Utica who are ready. I do have a feeling Severson could be traded. Very similar player to the newly acquired John Marino and a UFA next year (Severson, I mean). I'm very happy with how Tom Fitzgerald has built this team. Slow but sure and with a definite plan in place. I know some Devils fans are getting impatient. But I'm in for the long haul. There will always be an ebb and flow with whichever team you follow. And it has been fun watching the young guys develop. That's part of it. And now hopefully we Devils fans will start to see the fruits of those labors, that commitment, and that patience.
Devils need a top 6 legit scoring winger then I'll believe we can make a push. Hoping holtz takes form.

I have no faith in Blackwood, between not vaxing & his heel, he crippled NJ last season. A good D in front of any goalie is key so we have upgraded big time. (Old time Devils Hockey is making a comeback! It wins Cups!) I Love the Montauk-The End Towel in the window, Greatest little town on the East Coast! KEEP IT! It forced me to subscribe. I’m glad we didn’t get Johnny Hockey. Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt fill similar roles. We needed size and two-way play, not another undersized, skilled forward.
Hey Kevin, I am kind of content with what has been added to this team thus far. I agree that last year the biggest issue was goaltending. If Vanicek and Blackwood can remain healthy as well as Jack Hughes, good things will happen. Keep the core of this team together and they will continue to click. This team is built for speed.
