Glad he made the team as I think he earned it. If he's having trouble, he can always be sent back down for some minutes and learning. He'll have to play heads up, cause there's a lot of people going to want to knock him down. 245 lbs – 6' 8" "in his sock feet" as Mickey said the other night. Plunk him about 4 feet in front of their net and it's like an Eclipse ! Ya – Elmer the Eclipse !

As someone who's followed both Simon and Elmer closely in Sweden the last couple of years (I'm a Frölunda- fan) I honestly never got the hype around Simon. I really thought going into this camp that there was about a 10% chance Simon makes the Wings and around 50-70% that Elmer would.
SO happy for him. If he can take this opportunity and run with it, You guys will LOVE this kid more than You already do because he has the ability to be a game changer out there, in every situation.
As for Simon, I think He'll do best developing down in GR to mature his game and frame.
