  1. About time the Hockey Canada board and upper Management did the right thing. Should have been done months ago. Shame on them for desperately trying to stay in place like nothing happened. Interesting graphic on team ages. Was surprised Leafs were on it, but not Boston. I get that Hockey is a business, but optics for the Flames with Meloche looks very uncool. Much as I like Wayne Simmonds as a person, his career was over 3 years ago. He needs to just gracefully retire with dignity.

  2. We need the names of 2003 case & players names for 2018 case. The other players need to be able to speak. Nobody wants to find out they have been cheering for a rapist.

  3. In a world where football icon Troy Aikman gets lambasted for an off-the-cuff remark about dresses, of course Hockey Canada will make a bunch of people lose their careers over things from years past that they likely didn't know anything about.

  4. Simmonds has a chance to sign with MTL for more money
Wonder how he reflects on Habs beating Toronto and going to final.
Him and and Drouin not a vacation could have made an impact vs Tampa

  5. WOWsa!! Hockey Canada CEO resigns as well as the Board–yeah, it's a good start to change. Some teams are dealing with injuries to start the season but several of those players will play this season. The Pens and Caps definitely need to inject some youth into the equation for sure. Excellent report, as always, much appreciated—Also ,I just ordered a new Blues Hoodie thru Fanatics, using the link–congrats again on the partnership with Fanatics, awesome news for the Channel.

  6. Drouin looked to be on his way back up a couple of years ago before the injury bug bit….one could argue early that season he was one of the Habs best players then BAM!!!! Injury and other personal mental health issues came up which have totally derailed whatever comeback was possible.
I agree with your assessment….seems Drouin has mentally "left the building". Thankfully this is his last season "on the books" and the Habs can wave bye bye to his $5.5 million salary cap hit after this season. Sad really….there was always a sense of potential lurking beneath the surface but never fully appearing. Sure wish we had NEVER traded Sergachev!!!!
