I thought Florida, all along, were the at the head of the line for Matthew. They had the pieces to make a deal, and no State tax makes a big deal. Saying that, Calgary did very well on the return, despite only having one year of control, as of this moment, on the two best players coming back, very interesting deal. Note that Vinny Viola, Panthers owner, is in Saratoga, he is a horse owner, there was “chatter” that his team had serious interest in making a big move. If not this trade, maybe Patrick Kane.
