Re: Klingberg, Toews etc. go A: Instead of Toews I'd rather have Patrick Kane. B: Klingberg is almost more problem than solution. Right now on the right side we have Ceci, Bouchard, and Barrie. If Barrie goes (for the Cap space), Bouch moves down and Klingberg goes either 1RD or 2RD it's "something" but wouldn't a LD be better? Ceci, Bouchard, and Barrie aren't chopped liver. Having a good 3LD would be nice (and cheaper). Yes, I know, Niemeläinen, BUT if your going to add an experienced good D you probably want the rookie to be your 7D during the end of season rush and the playoffs. It's not just bringing a guy in but also fitting him in the cap. Not going to be easy as we see with the juggling that's going on.

Klingberg would definitely make a good blue line a great blue line. Sorry Toews is just not what we need, another big Center with speed and defensive skill is on the list.

Im interested how oilers + is, I'm not buying it yet though it seems pretty dumb.
We definitely don't have a need for Jonathan Toews. We have plenty of players and talent that can do the same or more that Toews can do. There's also no way Toews will sign for $167 per year. There simply isn't enough cap space right now.
