It looked to me that McAvoy left his feet to deliver that hit. IMO it should have been a penalty.

I'm a Bruins fan, and having watched McAvoy play for like a 100 games or so, I can 100% say it was intentional head contact for the opponent's MVP. If it would have been some 4th liner on Aho's place, Mac wouldn't have taken that type of a risk for a suspension. He is not dumb, but he is borderline-dirty for sure, and this should've been a penalty, even a suspension. Luckily Aho seems to be okay, so the series winner will be found through playing, not cheapshots.

It happened fast but it’s very clear in slo-mo. It was a D to D pass after the interception. McAvoy had the puck. He jumped to avoid Aho and maintain possession. Even tho Aho probably didn’t intend to do it, the play was still technically Aho’s hit on McAvoy even tho he got the worst of it.
I'm more of a canes fan but Aho caused that as much as anyone. Head down, he TURNED into the traffic. He's fine. In fact he's great, they ended the bruins season so that's good.
