  1. They aren't looking to trade Keith, and they don't really need to. His contract expires just in time for Bouchard's new contract. All they need is to shed Barrie and Kassian for now, and they're good.

  2. Good breakdown on possible outgoing pieces. As for draft picks, I think Holland will be willing to trade a 1st round pick, and probably more, for a #1 goaltender.

  3. Totally disagree re: Pulijujarvi vs Yamamoto
As stated in the video Yamamoto works harder is more reliable and consistent. Get rid of Pulijujarvi's contract. Maybe Jesse Pulijujarvi will blossom into a 35 or 40 goal scorer with some other team – he might not have the chance to do that in Edmonton. Perhaps it would be better to trade him for a less talented, harder working, more intense, tougher, more consistent and less expensive player to boost the 3rd or 4th line (and who knows maybe the odd shift wit McDavid and/or Draisaitle). Give Pulijujarvi's current market value, the Oilers might even get a draft pick a 4th or 5th D or bottom 6 FWD.

  4. Barrie will get traded. Kassian will get dealt (50% salary retained) or bought out. Jessie P will get traded. Keith? Not sure… what happens cap wise if he retires this summer? Foegele was traded for, Holland did his deal, will likely keep him for now. Don't think they can afford to keep Kane, unless he agrees to another 1 year deal while his legal problems with the Sharks gets settled. Wow.. not a word about goaltending issues to resolve via clearing for cap space..

  5. I don't like the idea of trading Jesse Puljujärvi. I know he is inconsistent when it comes to scoring, but he is a strong defensive forward who doesn't take a lot of penalties in the offensive zone. He is someone who you can play in the top 9 who is big, strong and fast who can go to the net. I just thing his trade value is low that teams will offer a second round pick at best. The Oilers, aside from McLeod don't have a strong track record when it comes to second round picks.

  6. The Oilers can’t think about rookies……they need to win in the next 2 years while Connor and Leon are in their prime and under contract. Bring in what they need ….goalie, defenceman, size and experience out front.

  7. We need to keep Puljijarvi, Yamo and Kulak. No point trading Keith with 1 year left.
I doubt we will be able to keep Kane. We need to package Kassian, Foegle with picks for a 1A goalie. Skinner is our 1B backup.
We cannot give up on Puljijarvi.. Remember this was his first year back in the NHL full time. He will ripen overtime. He costs less than Kassian and produces much more and is a horse on the backcheck.
