Yes!! I’ve been calling for this trade for SO long. Makes so much sense for the Sens and it’s great to finally see them make a serious push for a great player. The 7th overall, and 2 other picks…that’s a brilliant deal. May be the best deal Dorion has ever made. 1st or 2nd line, Debrincat will make a huge impact. 2nd line of Stutzle, Debrincat, Joseph…could be one of the fastest lines in the NHL. Also adds another element to their PP and will allow the team to slot their wingers properly on the proper line.

Just remember that he got the majority of those goals playing with Patrick Kane.No one is comparable to that in Ottawa.You might see him slip a bit there.The Hawks need to hit on both of those picks tonight or they blew this deal.
I dont see this as a good move for the Sens… Remember DeBrincat has been getting his goals fed to him by Patrick Kane, maybe he fits with Stutzle but then who plays on the other wing that brings some physical presence?

Please explain the qualifying offer. Debrincat is singed for one more year, but what does the 9 million qualifying offer mean? Does that mean the SENS have to sign him for one more year at 9 million? In other words, the SENS have him for a minimum of 2 years? As a SENS fan I'm thrilled about this trade. I just hope they can keep him long term!
