He’s right. I don’t know why people are so opposed to having him dominate the OHL, we need more prospects with offensive skill and he can develop that more easily there for at least one season
Junior will help his offense even more. With his creativity and speed, this is the best move.
I personally don’t agree… There are countless players who put up 100s of points in the CHL who never make a career playing pro because they never learned the pro game.
IMO, seeing Mesar play it’s clear he already has the offensive skillset to put up points… Translating that into putting up points in Pro hockey is what is needed.
Scoring 90 points in the OHL seems unnecessary, but wtv. He seems to be having a pretty good camp in the AHL too.

Until I am proven otherwise, I will trust this new management team to make the right decisions for the development of our young players.
The thing is that there’s already a lot of forwards who fought for ice time in Laval. With his talent, he would benefit to play on the top line with PP time in the OHL versus being maybe on the 3rd line in the AHL. I would be hard for the coaches to give him special attention in his development when there’s so many other prospects, who can’t return in the CHL, that needs it too.
I disagree but only because I selfishly would like to see him when I got to Rocket games
