We had all the momentum in the 3rd then Carlson literally lost us the game with his lazy skating.
Most of the team looked pretty good minus Johnny Norris

Some fans want to move on from Oshie and I totally get their argument, but you can’t deny he plays as hard as he can every second he gets on the ice. Hurt, game out of reach, whatever. He still battles.
Already losing sleep over the first powerplay unit but we looked pretty locked in after Mantha scored.
Pastrnak is also just unfair. Dude is amazing.

I love when fans of other teams talk about Carlson as a great #1 defenseman. They have no idea.
Excited for Strome, very optimistic for Mantha. I’d love to see them swap Protas and Brown next game, but honestly that second like was pretty good as is.

Lol carlson lost us the game because we were down 3-2 already? Guess with Sammy gone Carly will get even more hate. Darcy was atrocious as was the D, nothing changed with our overpriced, below average goalie.

We can say Carlson had a horrific game and realize that the « trade Carlson », « worst Defenseman ever », « make him 3rd pair » takes are based in reactionary emotions and not facts.

The data also shows that when he plays more than 24 minutes a night his play at both ends deteriorates and it hurts himself and the team. Hence why he was slow as shit on that rush goal. The coaching staff sucks at player utilization, hence the PowerPlay also being horrendous. The problem is the coaches treat him like Victor Hedman when he is like Dougie Hamilton. Which is also complete insanity when Orlov’s game is more similar to Hedman’s than Carlson’s is to Hedman.
Man I will always be grateful for Carlson but he’s just not it anymore 🙁
