Caps played Florida very well tonight. They had control of most of the game and if it weren’t for Bob the caps would’ve had a few more goals on the board.
Wilson and Carlson injury are big bad news for Washington. It’ll be interesting to see if Florida can adjust because they were far from at their best tonight.

Winning the president's trophy don't mean JACK. That's what happened to Tampa three years ago when they got swept by Columbus. You have to rest your star players for at least a week to ten days. That's why Colorado finished 1-5-1 in their last 7 games. Florida might learn about this next season. But they're doomed. Capitols have experience. I'm not a cap fan either. My team is out. Just observing the games.
That play by Ovi that lead to the 2nd goal was amazing! Then he goes to Bobrovsky and says something. How can you not love Ovi? Haha let's go!

I never expected Florida to lose this game but I suppose anything can happen in the playoffs. The intensity level is off the charts come playoff time in the NHL. Ovechkin and T.J. Oshie are a lot of fun to watch.
Awesome! Hope they can steal game 2 also and head home with a 2-0 lead. Florida is very talented, but the caps have experience and grit.
