Bishop has to be the most injury prone goalie out there.
There is no expectation for the Stars IMO, they shocked everyone when making it to the final. They been pretty good lately, so I dont know whats gonna happen

If it was not for Dallas goalie Khudobin having a career series against the Vegas Golden Knights stopping 50- 70 shots per game for Dallas , Dallas not in the Stanley Cup series . Amazing a career series vs. Vegas will never happen again .

Bishop/Heiskanen has to play at award winning level day in and out to have a higher seed come play-offs. Regardless I don't see how Dal score anywhere near like they did during play-offs, not a chance. They'll be up against TB, Car, CBJ, St.L, Avs, Vgs… in my mind there no way they make it to CF finals. I think it's likely a first round exit.
It's crazy that Heiskanen only had 9 points less in the playoffs than he had in the regular season.
Since they are in the central they should still make the playoffs

As much as the backend looks in decent hands going forward, I'm not very optimistic about the future of the Stars forward group in the future.

It's hard to look past their lack of forward depth and scoring this year. Can't see a repeat of the 19-20 playoff run. Mavrik could be a steal though. But not NHL ready yet, probably a year or two out
I think they have a pretty good chance IF, IF they can learn to stay out the penalty box.

It'll be interesting if Hintz gets a shot as center if Seguins injury keeps him out for a longer time. Dallas have some clear selection centers in the system, but Hintz has been playing center role a lot before.
My common sense says a down year, But I honestly think that we will be ok without Bish/Segs for the first part (or majority) or the season. We’re a team that gets a lot of hard hockey goals. With the mix of Pavelski, Hintz, Benn, Radulov, Gurianov, I feel like they can prove something this season… hopefully.

I can see heiskanen scoring 40-45 pts in 56 games this year
Interestingly the nba’s old central division had Carolina (Charlotte) in it.
I think, if anything regardless of where they land in the playoffs, the expectation that they should be scoring more remains.
