  1. Love the Avs offense, but holy cow on that defense. Avs D and Francouz nearly ruined a great performance from the offense. That's why you never take your foot off the gas.

  2. I was watching the game at ubs arena, horrible game every single pass was getting intercepted and overall the islander's just could not the puck on there stick. Even during a islander's power play to avalanche had hold of the puck most of the time. The only reason why this game wasn't 10-4 is because the avalanche kept on missing the net in the 1st period but they still had hold of the puck 80% of the time.

  3. Varlamov was sensational.. which means that this game could have easily been 8 or 9-1 at some point. Hard to understand the massive step back for the Islanders this season.

  4. Avs left Francouz out to dry in those final 10 minutes of the game. He was on his way to a great stat line after coming in relief of Kuemper against Calgary and then it suddenly looks like he had an awful game.

  5. Wow, what a third period. Av's are such a funny team, going by their past performances I think they're going to set records in the regular and be out in the 1st or second round. Great to score 4 goals in the 3rd, but against the islanders… Then to let 3 in in the last 10 and almost take the game to O/T is just sloppy

  6. That Compher goal was pretty to watch but other than that the Avs looked lost a little bit especially in the first 40 minutes of the game. Maybe play a full game and stay energized, other than that I like their play!

  7. Avs are a great team. However, they better hope they don’t play Dallas in the playoffs. The Stars have the Avs number. One of the only teams that combat their style of play. Dallas will beat them in 7 again this year.

  8. Kudos to the Islanders for keeping after it in the 3rd period. Some teams may have been disheartened and folded after going down 4 but they kept fighting 👏👏 It was a little troubling seeing my Avs give up a big lead, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is the final score… and our number was 1 bigger.

  9. This is just like where New York Islanders played against Detroit Red Wings where they erased a three goal deficit in the last 10 minutes on a 5 minute power play and win in OT. They could had tied the game in the last 10 minutes down 4 goals even the last 30 seconds after getting within one was tense.
