I love Bo, but he’s not nor should he be paid like a #1 center. Could this be the hold up in a contract extension? Morris wanting #1 center kind of money for Bo?

Can we just trade this guy already. Regardless of what his contract is it’s going to be inefficient for our roster construction. Even if we are able to bring the AAV down to 6-6.5mil range we will have to give him 8 years which IMO is a bad idea.
It’s amazing how inflated his value is. If he wasn’t the captain and longest tenured Canuck he would be viewed as just a regular 2C/high end 3C which should be making 5.5 – 6.5 mil on a 5-6yr deal.

I’ve often thought that a deal involving Horvat would make tons of sense for both teams and the player who spends his summers in Ontario.

I like Bo as a person and player, but we need to get rid of the docile nature on our team and be harder to play against. Paying him 7 mil/year is not a good way forward.
