24 hours later and we just witnessed the Muzzin – Holl redemption game

  2. eagleboy444

Hey whaddya know? The world wasn’t ending after game 1.

Now let’s give Holl credit for a couple great plays in the final minutes.

  3. noctisakashi

William “tinted visor” Nylander was a monster again!

  4. AduroPinquis

Better effort tonight. Definitely improved on some details from last night and I thought the Leafs controlled more of the play and had fewer mistakes.

Gotta give Holl credit for getting in front and blocking a couple of Ovi’s one-timers on the PK. The kill was also huge all game but especially in that third period.

Probably one of Matthews’s ‘ugliest’ goals, but hey, that’s #1 of 60+ we’ll see this year.

  5. ProfessorBeast55

Say what you want bout Holl, but the dude can PK like no other on the team. Those blocked shots he ate were HUGE

  6. fchappy49

Justin Holls Ass took a beating tonight

  7. Kinglokner16

    Ilya Samsonov Goalie 1…. LOADING

  8. MutedHornet87

That was a butt clenching win, but good on them for pulling it out

  9. Sleazy_T

NGL I really liked Muzzin’s game. Holl had a goof with a minute left but at lot of shot blocks and it didn’t cost us. Way to rebound fellas.

  10. StaticR0ute

Glad they picked the win for sure, but they definitely didn’t make it easy for themselves! LOL

They need to clean up their passing and overall teamwork, but it’s only game 2, so lots of time to get it sorted.

  11. StatGAF

People should check money puck on who led the Leafs in possession.

    Muzzin.

Holl was also incredible – particularly in the last 5 minutes.

  12. Darkenmal

Holl made a good block at the end. Good shit.

  13. breezehome

Leafs dominated that game. Expect that all season

  14. empireWill

Thought they played really well tonight

  15. Shooternow

Good to see Samsonov win against his old team. Now let’s see Murray do it

  16. Practical_Bread_3080

Me when Leafs lose a game: idiots. Assholes. Loser hearts. You make me sick. You bring shame on me and everyone who believed in you. Get out of my face

Me when leafs win a game: Forever don’t stop. Amazing. Show stopping. This is the year. I love this team. I love being alive. I have the passion

  17. SometimesJesss

Who has a GIF of the hit Mathews threw in the 3rd period. That was unreal.

  18. picard17

Shitting the bed against the Habs and then beating the Capitals the next night – Leafs hockey is back, baby

  19. StaticR0ute

#CAN YOU SMELLLLEELELELLLLLL WHAT MATTHEWS IS COOKIN’?!

  20. theguyishere16

Samsonov was the opposite of Murray last night. Murray looked great to start but as the game went on I felt less and less comfortable as he got a bit more scrambly and let 3 unscreened or tipped goals in. Samsonov though started shaky but as time went on looked better and better. Wants the 2nd back Im sure but it didnt sink his game.

  21. Oshie was really being the biggest whiner tonight. Being a dirtbag around the ice then wondering why he wasn’t getting calls after getting taken down in the corner

  22. TheLoomingMoon

Quick! Trade holl while his value is high.

  23. Lucky75

Samsonov was really solid in the last 2 periods, have to give him credit

  24. livewire_voodoo

Refs did all they could short of putting a bow on it.

  25. Insane_membrane00

Keefe playing Holl/Muzzin in the last minute was a big F*** You to us folks on r/leafs. LOL

  26. Showtime98

Much better performance, Sammy was good after those two goals.

  27. Devin_Kurant_

Gotta give Holl his flowers with the key blocks and PK

  28. labadee

Samsonov shook off the early jitters and showed up. We played a lot better this game. Also, fuck the refs

  29. keeeeener

Willy, Tavares, Marner and Matthews were fantastic tonight. Willys compete was great tonight, he’s still second guessing himself on his chances but who cares, if he plays like that I’ll take a messed up 2 on 1 a game every time.

Bunting got a bit distracted for a lot of the game, but the leafs might want him to be a pest like that.

Also, for as much hate as Holl gets, getting in front of an ovi one timer that many times takes a ton of balls.

Leafs played a great 60 mins overall.

  30. YesEmpire

Anyone else watch this on TSN and annoyed by the broadcast overlay changing ads on the boards constantly and jittery placement, it’s so distracting from the game.

  31. Arcade23

Lol “a lot of bad words” Ilya Samsonov

  32. ltDoBeLikeThat_

Anyone see the Samsonov post game interview? Dude is so wholesome and funny lol

  33. en4skin

After watching his post game interview Samsonov is just Russian Jack Campbell.

  34. bipbopbee

    Sammy, in his post game…

*Reporter: You played with Ovi, did you talk to him today? What did he say?*

*Sammy: A lot of bad words*

    *Reporter: What did you say?*

*Sammy: A lot of bad words*
