It’s going to be tough, and I’d rather have Bo than JT long term, but they need to find the money.
Morris stating that Bo is a first line centre is a bit of a reach IMO. So he's comparing him to Matthews, JT, McDavid, Draisaitl, Barkov, Aho, Crosby, Mackinnon, Pettersson, J Hughes etc etc. I would say Bo is more of a strong 2nd line C. Obviously he could be posturing but if Morris really believes Bo is that good then a deal won't get done.

He’s a 1st line face off guy maybe. But 2C at his best…
Horvat has not been that great. Maybe Canucks should move on from him
I have been saying this for years! bo is not a first line center at all, they only reason he's a number two is because he's good at face offs but compare to Kesler who made 6 million tops horvat is likely a 2 or 3 center on a contender
I can't take this guy seriously when he said "he was told" Dickinson had a great training camp. Bo as a 1C in a few teams, sure, but not this team.
Bo has been a passenger on this team since the Bubble, looks very uninterested too much of the time.
Bo should consider another agent or he is gonna get shipped out of van. He is worth 6 million max MAX. 52 points last year 61 max in his career. Hes our third line center. He cant put up great points with massive powerplay time, and his defensive game is subpar. After hearing this dope talk im all for trading him for a rd, and using the leftover to extent kuzmenko.
If Bo is a 1st line centre, then Martin Brochu was a bonafide starting goalie
I am guessing that Pat Morris is just posturing, but as valuable as I believe Bo Horvat is to the Vancouver Canucks, he is NOT a number one center or even a 1a. His intangibles, his ability to rise to the occasion when the stakes are high, make him a valuable player, no question, but if the Morris camp is really seeking salaries that are given to a No. 1 Center, then I think the Canucks are better off trading him early before he becomes a rental (due to the pending UFA status) that would fetch less value in return when traded.
I for one am not surprised his agent is pumping the tires of his client. The more money bo gets the more his agents gets. Noway is bo a number 1 centre!
Trade Horvat for a top 2 Dman to help Huggy before he dies back there doing every role
Bo is not a No1 and never has been. Decent no 2 most of the time. Some games you don't notice him at all.
Is it possible to cover games now and stop stirring the pot on Bos' contract?
They want to get faster and change the culture. He is holding out for more money than he is worth. Bo is out on a limb for sure. Who wants him for 7.7 million?
Time to part ways with Horvat ..if not, remove him as captain at the very least. Done with his weakness! ..a captain needs to be able to physically stand up for his players, not skate over to the opposition and have a pleasant conversation.
