If you go on his Twitter page it seems this guy is well sourced. Even has pictures from Adidas for the Islanders’ numbering for their RR Stan Fischler jersey

Why not the white version, or one of the WCs or the Heritage jersey? Any of those would have been awesome… I don’t get it.
I like it. This is how it should’ve looked the first time around, imo. The dark navy blue doesn’t say « New York Rangers » to me.
Not really a fan of the Lady Liberty jersey in the first place the red on the end of the sleeves is a big improvement. Now they are truly replicating the 90’s alts.
Also if you were gonna bring these back I’m in favor of doing the white ones again.
I think these will pop on the ice with the red pants. I like.

Reddit is very small sample but I am certainly in the minority when it comes to my dislike for this jersey. Even as a chid, the Statue of Liberty logo felt gimmicky and AHL-like. I never hated it but never loved it either. I think I just defined ambivalence. The cartoonish shield logo and font (shoulders) make me cringe and I just never liked teams using gray as a color. I do have to recognize and appreciate the true blue, though. Hated the navy blue. It’s not their color.
These are not bad at all but I’m satisfied with the classic home uniform. If there were an alternate, I’d love to see the overlooked [’46-’47 sweater](https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5059/5420635200_096a825869_b.jpg).

I’d love to see them do something with the regular shield logo as an alternate. Almost like the 2012 winter classic jerseys.
LOVE it. I was a big fan of the white lady liberty jersey too
