Fucking hell dadonov is an absolute bum

  2. SnooGuavas7906

Let’s score goals next time, yes?

  3. BertisOkay

Can’t expect to win them all, Jake stood on his head, but the offense wasn’t there.

  4. Not_drunk_cactus

Tabarnak de rough game tonight and they have to play tomorrow :/

  5. pengupenguPENGU

Not good hockey from us but I had a blast. I missed hockey 🥲

  6. janedoe514

The tank is so on but i would prefer to see at least 1 or 2 goals

edit: got a suicide watch notification? what?

  7. ObverseNebula

Can everyone just relax, it’s game 2 of an 82 game season and we were outshot 10 to 25 in the first period.

And can everyone stop shitting on Suzuki?
He’s the only reason we had any chances tonight

Edit: I got a suicide watch notification, I’m not quite there yet

[Expected goals for tonight](https://imgur.com/28w2bRB), Kovacevic supremacy? Also, pretty horrible game from the Suzuki line, they’ll bounce back though.

Gg habs u guys played us tight. Allen looked incredible 👍❤️

  10. --JULLZ--

I do not get why Slaf was benched. I thought he was probably our most impactful forward in the 2nd but what do I know

  11. Capable-Mobile-8260

Well that grounded me a bit from last game that’s for sure.

  12. WalkVast

Suprised about that RedWings squad tbh.. they looked good imo

  13. Ropeycarnivore

I personally really enjoyed the game. First period was a little rough but the young D really did great. Some of you in the game thread need to relax. Calling Suzuki a shit captain and stuff. It’s going to be this kind of year, so not sure what you are expecting.

  14. A_WHALES_VAG

Bit of a stinker.. they didn’t help themselves, lots of blind passes, turnovers etc..

    Allen was great

It’s only game 2 but I’m already tired of Wideman and Kovacevic(excuse my spelling) shooting the puck straight into the defenders shin pads every time we have o zone possession.

    Onto the next one!

  15. Ansoker

Anyone else catch the missed high stick call…

Aussi, je savais toujours qu’Allen était aussi bon que Price, on la vu ce soir. Triste qu’on pouvais pas marquer.

  16. Minato_is_God

Thoughts go out to Jake Allen for the defense he’s gonna experience this season

  17. We can’t get rid of Hoffman and Dadonov too fast….

  18. Habsfan_1984

Detroit got a way with some missed calls but they were the better team. Good effort just couldn’t create enough and ran into a hot goalie. Overall can’t complain and enjoyed watching, Detroit will be tough to play against in the future.

Played a defense-heavy game for most of it, which on one level it’s good to see given all the question marks around the defense, though it’s not as exciting when there’s a lot of goals being scored both ways.

I felt bad for Allen, that was an amazing performance that deserved a win.

  20. DarthLordDonkey

The effort was there and we were never out of the game. In a losing, shutout game, hard to ask for much more.

  21. Deadmanlex45

Hey that was a fun game

    The good

    – Jake fucking Allen

    – That Kovacevic guy looks good why the hell did the jets waive him

    – Guhle is sex

    – Most of the d corps gave a great effort in the loss..

    – Rem and Jake played incredible games.

    – caufield played a good game

    The bad :

    – This was not Nick’s best game. He’ll bounce back.

    – Pp is godawful.

  22. captaincanada84

Allen did his best Carey Price impression for 3 periods.

  23. Kovacevic looked good again.

Really puzzling why the Jets waived him, did they think he’d sneak through?

  24. OverallVillage7

No expert but coulda used those missed calls. If we’re gonna high sticked, boarded from behind, hooked and grabbed all game the boys might as well of done the same to nullify…

I know we don’t get that luxury though.

Detroit looks fun. Not good but fun!

  25. It’s incredible how big and young Detroit is, I’ll give it to them, they’re going to be a force to recon sooner than later.

  26. deimos289

Our D is playing really really well, clearing the front of the net and playing solid on the boards, our offense was dump and chase for all 4 lines overall pretty bad. Hoffman is fucking useless

  27. Denster1

I want losses so I won’t complain too much. However:

if we aren’t going to play our #1OA pick, just send him down and play Pezzetta instead.

how the fuck is that not boarding against dadonov in the 3rd period? guess he should have just pretended to be injured

I love gally but ugh, he looks done.

  28. Rainy-Night

Well this hurts our chances of going 98-0..

  29. Dach, Slaf, Monahab were great to watch. Loving their play.

I don’t think I can’t handle watching Dadonov abd Hoffman all season.

  30. Baikken

One of the good signs I saw was even down 3-0 with less than a minute left I saw more than 1 player still fight hard for the puck. If they continue with that fire, I expect a few comeback victories this year!

  31. comeupoutdawatah

My bad, boys. Managed to watch my first game of the year and we got blanked. It’s on me.

  32. Roetorooter

    Wings fan coming in peace.

    Jake-fucking-Allen.

    That is all.

    *BAD*

    – 2nd best team all night. In fact, quite lucky the Habs had a one goal game in the third. Also had two great chances one from Anderson that Husso robbed him and a Gallagher breakaway.

    – X is by far the most raw of the young defensemen. Obviously there is massive potential and he hasn’t been bad but just a few errors these past two games.

    – Not really sure what the point right now (things can change) in two players being Dadonov and Hoffman. Just ghosts or turnover machines. At least with Hoffman he has a good shot I guess? Idk what the other dude does yet.

    – People might not like to read this but Gallagher is a bit frustrating with the puck right now. No not a bad game by any stretch but really just very very choppy. Combined with Evans it’s a bit of a black hole offensively.

    – Didn’t think it was Suzukis night. That’s alright of course.

    – Habs got scored on by a guy named Elmer.

    – Refs were pretty sus all night.

    *GOOD*

    – Jake Allen was freaking amazing. Utter spectacular performance and a huge reason this was a close game for a bit (actually the only reason but yeah)

    – I did like Slaf… I think he does need a new line but looked smooth out there. Has to get a little more ice time and maybe a new line.

    – Guhle was exceptional once more. Looks like a 10 year veteran out there and the hype is absolutely warranted. This could be rly rly good for the Habs.

    – Harris was great again. Nothing overly flashy but good positioning and excellent defensive hockey sense. Lots of huge potential here as well.

    – Dach played well again IMO. Seems to have a mean side to him which is nice.

    – Liked Monahan as well.

    – Kovacevic looks like a great addition.
