  1. Here's to hoping it's a very busy season for one of the best channels on YT

  2. the zone time in the 1st period was insane. seems like the habs never got the puck cleanly 💪🏾💪🏾

  3. If this game is any indication . . . I think you're going to be making a lot of highlight vids this season Awood.

  4. 3:50 Larkin's feet when he receives that pass.. such a smooth skater. that dive tho lol.. thanks for including that Vlady footage, definitely a proper red wings channel here!!

  5. Wow, 25 shots on goal in the first period alone. That offense was fired up. I remember some games last year where they had less than that for the whole game

  6. Wow that gritt and intensity… I don't remember when the Wings did compete with this kind of level… they outshooted the habs easily they ate them on the battles for the puck without an astonished performance from Allen they could really took a blast in the scoresheet so pumped for this season hope they'll play with this intensity each night and also next game against NJ

  7. This is the first time in a while Bally Sports audio was not ever so slightly ahead of the video. It had been annoying the last few years.

  8. always remember shanahan after every win skating up and giving the goalie a tickle punch to his mask lol way to start the season boys keep the streak alive 🤗👍great game for the big red giant solderblom and line mates 👍empressed with ville husso outstanding job tonight good team effort from everyone!

  9. Husso was GREAT!! First Wings goalie since 1953 to post shutout in debut!! Big Elmer and the big boy line played fantastic! I'm stoked for the season!

  10. Please let this energy and effort continue, the team has so much opportunity! Oh and I want to keep saying "Nightmare on Elmer Street!"

  11. I am sure we all will love this team during the year. This was the first step, nice win boys 😎

  12. Both goalies played well. Husso was a wall!
The wings dominated in shots in the first period.
I’m thankful that Elmer scored the first goal! That really made his folks happy!

    But-
As someone who is a little older and has been watching the games since the late 70’s and plays as well still, ….
I felt this strange sensation watching the game last night. I felt like I was watching a little league scrimmage? Sissy sticks banging around on the ice. A bunch kids chasing the puck wherever the puck happened to be banged. And then politely poking at each other’s skates to free it only to randomly pop the puck out to somewhere else and repeat. There was no sense of 'team play'… Or 'plays' they’ve worked on being executed? Just back n forth mixed with dumping.
The game felt like watching a training camp game. It was strange to me, because I haven’t watched hockey on tv for a long time, like years…
It felt to me like you’re a fan of tennis and you’re watching a pickle ball game?
    🤷🏻‍♂️
    I don’t know…
It seems weird that the sport I grew up watching has changed in a manner where there’s no excitement… or if last night is an indication of what’s to be and come. I know there are definitely moments and I know it’s the first game and I’m thankful D won!
The prospects are super exciting… but I was just expecting more.
Even the commentary team, watching on ESPN + was super embarrassing to watch.
They’re goofy and ramble and don’t make much sense. Howard and Ozzie are cool and I’ll always love Mick…

Anyway feel to delete this if you’d like. I had to get this strangeness off my chest.

    Let’s go 2 n O tonight! 🏒🥅🚨👍🏻

  13. Damd, that was fun, haven't seen hockey like that in 7 years. Da boyz look good. It's gonna be a fun time in da old barn, again. From the Coaches, to da goalie, to da forwards, to da defense. Everybody played like Champions "da 🏆"

  14. The Wings are gonna score a "shitpot" full of goals this year. It's what l expected, and I wasn't disappointed. "Jeff Who"
Love the defense play all night…..Mo Sieder, looked like he was in mid season form……WHOOOHOOO!

  15. Great offensive work, really liked how they were on top of the game. They outplayed Montreal. They will work on passing and knowing where each other are. Looked like the 2002 Wings the way they were keeping Montreal out of their end. I have great hopes for these guys

  16. Jake Allen was so lucky tonight. I wish we could have had some luck. imagine a blowout home opener. imagine that excitement with multiple elmer goals

  17. Big Ben found out the hard way when you wear the Winged Wheel, you can get punched in the mouth in front of the ref and not get a powerplay out of it. Not once but twice.

  18. I know it's only the first game but we look SOOOOOOOOO much better and Soderblom is a BEAST. The big line is gonna be the best line in the NHL this year

  19. Nothing like watching a great W live, and still watching awood's highlights the following morning. Let's go boys!

  20. What a game!!! Love Chiarot giving it to his former team, Husso looked strong, disciplined positioning, it’s only 1 game but wow what a difference

  21. Looks like you're going to be busy this season awood, with 82 + 16 W's.
Thanks for your hard work and constant uploads of Red Wings videos.
