I think Hurricanes should trade Jake, Ryan Suzuki, and D prospect. Seattle, Arizona, or Chicago.
Detroit. It was a December game against the Red Wings where Drury tore it up. It was Neds first game back, and it didn't go well for him. My sons and I were fortunate enough to be at that game and had a ball.
My takes- Chatty is awesome! JG needs to go!!!!! Just find a team to take his last year of his contract 4.4mil. Bear got the shaft. I feel he was a better option then Smith. RBA should have used Bear in the playoffs! Zero wins on the road with Zero changes! PP was trash in the playoffs. Bear could have added something to that. Or at least given a chance. Again Zero changes by RBA on something that wasn't working! Insanity- Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. I hate to say it but I think the playoffs were lost behind the bench. Don't get me wrong I love RBA but you have to look at the lack of moves to improve the team in those two very importent areas that ultimately ended the run!
Forwards- I see necas moving to Center. That is his natural pos. RBA was working with Necas on faceoffs twords the end of the season and started to use him at center on the PP. I really hope he Canes sign Necas. Yes he did not have a great year but it was his contract year. Many players have had a bad first contract year. Svech had an off contract year (Necas stepped up in that same year) but bounced back last year. Necas will do the same. I know RBA has a defense first system and I love that but I think the reins on some of the offensive players.
Brent Burnes also adds some much needed grit! He doesn't really throw them anymore but can if needed. I still feel the Canes lack in this area.
