Great comments and all class. He knows they need to make adjustments but they also don't have a lot of time. All the remaining games in the series are every other day. You never want a Game 3 to be a must-win and he knows that. My own opinion is that playing games total than Colorado in this post-season and having to dig in to come from behind in the respective series with Toronto and New York have taken a toll. Colorado is on cylinders. Not impossible to beat but I have a hard time imagining them losing 4 out of 5.

He's not going to bury his goaltender. But he should bury his goaltender. I wouldn't expect to see goals scored like those in a drop-in game, let alone against an NHL goaltender. Six of the seven goals were clear, open looks, goalie one on one with the shooter- and Vasilesky just lost his angles. Those were not NHL level goals. One of them, from one angle, you could practically see Makar looking and thinking, what, he's left the whole side open? Okay, I will take that.
What else is he gonna say? His team got smoked. He’s gotta hope they have some tools and experiences to lean on to claw back into the series… or this indeed will be “a waste of eight days.”

Avs are 4-0 vs Tampa this season (2-0 in the regular season, 2-0 in the playoffs). The Lighting aren't playing the Maple Leafs anymore. This Avs team will bring one line after another straight after you and score, then score again. The Avs have scored record amounts of goals against Andrei Vasilevski and they will continue to score more. They have broken his spirit and his will. Maybe Tampa wins one game.

I would be like, take any great team in history and let them play the Avalanche tonight and just see if they could get close. Honestly, I can't remember a game in NHL finals history that's played that great from start to finish. If they play like that again in game 3, it will be very tough to win again.

I am a Devils fan but I LOVE LOVE Russian hockey and been a HUGE fan of VASY since 2013 before ANY OF YOU knew who he was, Vasy will be fine. Also been watching my CSKA RED ARMY KUCHEROV since 2010…he needs to step up…and Sergachev needs to shoot more. Brandon Hagel from my beloved Red Deer Rebels has to shut down his line he us up against…this is do able but Keumper…from my Red Deer Rebels…stacked.
