As a canucks fan these last two games have made me really pissed, cuz we outshoot the other team but we just can't win, and you can't blame demko, you can't blame the coach, you can't really blame anyone
I know you gotta push to tie the game, but a 2 on 0. If demko played for a better team he'd be looking at a vezina candidate. Not drafting d men or the wrong one's has absolutely killed this team, and to top it off tanev signs with division rival. I hope Rutherford can work some magic, but turning this team around will be a lot tougher than the pens.
Would have LOVED to see Boeser rushing back on that Empty Netter at the end. If he'd skated hard he might have stopped Point pulling a move to the center. Just a small thing, but they really could have pushed it to OT if they'd regrouped there. Over a minute left in the game.
Hard to think of a bigger momentum killer than that extended break leading into two of the toughest teams in the league. All the confidence and mojo from their first couple of weeks feels like a distant memory — because it IS. Sheesh.
