I don't want to 💩 on Campbell, but early on appears to be another Lucic type signing. Hopefully we keep Skinner around long enough to witness him obtaining his own version of greatness. This said our D core is weak af, I predict that the Nurse signing is and/or will become known as the worst contract in NHL history. We should have went after 2 D @ 6 million per, or 3 @ 4 million per season instead of a plug for 12.5, who has inflated stats from playing w/ 29 & 97 in most Overtime's. I'm of two minds about this. Getting Campbell out there in a relatively easy game so he can do well will improve his confidence. Not playing him hurts his confidence. We want two GOOD CONFIDENT goalies. My other mind says yes, play Skinner. We'll see. Great vid as always. Take care all.
If it wasn't for Skinner and the goal posts Flames would have at least won by 8. Pretty nutty game.

It's just one bad game playing his second start of the regular season. Every goalie has their bad games. The Flames also beat the Avalanche. It doesn't mean the Avalanche should panic or crap on Francouz. I don't think the Oilers should give up on Soup, yet.
I jus those whenever campbell plays next that he takes a deeep breath, and realizes it’s just a game. I think his problem is he is too nervous.

Generally I would say keep going with the winner but they should also split any back to backs etc so as not to burn guys out. Skinner and Campbell were always going to be a 1s 1b type scenario during this contract but I expected Campbell to take the load for this year. We need to sort out the starts and if there was any belief on the coaches part that that was resolved then maybe they need Campbell back in to regain some confidence. Confidence was his biggest issue last year and we don't need him going on a 2 month slide. If skinner ends up 1a this year so be it.

No, they weren't. The Flames completely locked things down in the third, and the Oilers barely got a sniff until the final minute extra-man scramble.
