Ok I am gonna say this once, if I don't comment, it is usually because you haven't said anything so absurb, that NEEDS my immediate attention. You will never talk to a more knowlegeable or dedicated Red Wing fan then this guy (me)! I will give you my input time to time when Brad goes off the rails or when Evan needs a reality check, he isn't scary one bit! Like your stream, could use a guy like me that will trash on teams and players that deserve it with a funny twist of course! Enjoy
The sharks did have the 2nd best pk this year and was the number 1 pk team in 2019-20
Didn't Kucherov go in the second round too? Just talking about when Brad compared Buchelnikov to Kucherov and saying Buch wouldn't have gone in the second round if he was similar to Kuch.. haha Buch and Kuch. Anyway, we have no idea, Buch could be better than Kuch fast forward 5 years from now. He's definitely my favorite prospect from this draft aside from Kasper aswell.
They needed to trade Larkin and 8th for Shane Wright and tank next year for Bedard. Yzerman missed the boat.
Don't Slander Alexandar Georgiev. he's well better than ville husso at this point and got supplanted by the next king of goaltending which is no shame. Georgiev is one of the most nimble and explosive goalies right now in the position. he'll learn to settle down in the crease as a starter, and he proved an admirable starter when he got consistent starts before Chester came along. this is a move I wanted colorado to make last year even. Him or Korpisalo were the guys I wanted them to pursue. Not paying Keumper 6+ million to give up 1 or 2 softies a game despite his numbers in the regular season. They overpaid for Husso by about a million and change which might seem low now but when the elc guy start to expire you wont be saying that. the backup to starter Job is one of the easiest contracts to hand out and is 3×3.1-3.5 standard usually. philipp Grubauer is the easiest comparable to Husso and he also got a 3×3.1on his first prove it contract when he had the best stats among goalies with just over a hundred games played. I really wanted Detroit to go trade for Blackwood. I know he had a rough one with New Jersey this past season but his ceiling is way higher than anyone on detroits roster and could have proved a franchise type with proper investment. especially since the market price would have been cheaper for blackwood off a dissapointing campain.
I just hope we don't get the coach pulling both goalies in the same game like what Blashil did last season. That really isn't good for your goalies, the team in front of them it's mickey mouse
Jesse on the Steve Dangle show said he saw Kasper out in the bar after the first night of the draft still in the jersey. Seems like the kids really pumped to be a Red Wing.
Brad you said Buchelnikov doesn’t have the skill liek Kucherov or he would be drafted higher, but Kucherov himself was drafted 58th overall, and Buchelnikov is 52nd. So this is a great comparison tbh.
Do you guys think Yzerman might swoop up Colin White in free agency? He's right in Detroit's time-line.
Yusso trade means nothing if the defense doesn’t improve
tidy work by Yzerman! still need that one "veteran" defenseman imo
Marco Kasper in the AHL next season? What do you guys think?
Kassian only had 2 years left at 3.2 million… not that much money, Oilers gave up too much I thought
Was hoping Wings would take a shot at Lane Hutson at 40 or 52…but no luck..😥
I only saw in comments for the most part, but is shane wright the ego type? Thought I saw he had an attitude problem and that might have pushed him to fall. If that's true, I don't believe yzerman would've been into that. Slafkofski just gives the aura of a straight up stud though. If you put these 2 guys next to each other, just at an eye test, I'm picking slaf all day (but that's with limited player performance review)
Guys , you are the best , but this video was too much to optimistic. . How do you call 2017 draft, we got 2 regular out of that draft
Agreed that Kasper showed really great character in his interviews. Red wings showed they want 200ft players, and Draper said that if the team likes a player they aren’t going to be cute, but rather just draft him and get them in the system even if people are calling it a reach.
Remember when they threw Mcollum in? Roasted never to return. Ned overplayed 2nd half but got back to good fundamentals by the end of the season.
Brandon Sutter and Anthony Cirelli are about the projection for Kasper. Dependable and teams require players in the lower lines who are responsible and able to work off penalties and dig pucks out along the boards.
Master of Puppets and Nothing Else Matters. In the first minute 🤘
From the tape and the way you guys talk about him im getting Anze Kopitar comparables to me for Kasper. What would you think?
Thanks!
does evan ever look happy? i'll expect kasper to do at least 1 more SHL season.
great breakdown by Evan explaining why the wings gave up a 3rd rounder for Husso. He's so smart when it comes to these type of moves.
Watched Lombardi in Flint almost every game. From a guy drafted in the 13th round who over stick handled and couldn’t stay on his feet, so excited to see him taken in the 4th round. He showed tremendous growth through the year. He became smarter, stronger, and developed a shot. Hated him at the beginning of the year but quickly became one of my favorite players on the team. Honestly liked his game a bit more then Othmann’s. He had a really good playoffs while being banged up. So happy he’s a Wing. I trust the Wings and Ted Dent to really help him continue to grow. Also like him being on a team with Kressler who’s an unbelievable defensive forward. Hopefully he can learn from everybody and become a really solid depth piece.
we could barely miss the playoffs and win the draft for once in our lives
Talk louder please
Kasper reminds me of Filpula
Where is our wednesday trades episode!!
I'm perfectly okay with Detroit trading away a 3rd round draft pick for Husso given the depth of prospects over the past 3 years. Basically got his signing rights for free.
Matthew Barzal is fire 🔥
