I thought Campbell was abandoned by the defense. I didn't see any soft goals. I hate how Oiler fans panic so fast.
I think Campbell's just getting used to his new team. Shaky starts can't deny that, but he'll bounce back. Our defense however is terrible as usual. Play Niemo instead of Murray
Skinner should have started the game to begin with, because the opponent had backup goalie in net.
It was a perfect opportunity to show off Skinner to the home crowd to start the year and say we trust in this player.
But not meant to be as the coaching staff let this opportunity slip.

Honestly it's way way too early to panic. I believe Campbell will get the start simply for a support/positivity standpoint. I don't think Jacob C is the answer. We need patience and getting the RIGHT help at the RIGHT time. Great vid as always. Take care all.
Yeah after watching that game last night, that’s what happens when everyone wants to be a hot shot and completely leave the goaltending to dry even by defence yet again, if oilers truly want to go to be the next team to hoist the cup, they better start to learn drop the horseshit flashy hockey and play a consistent shut down defensive hockey by all the players including mcdavid, nurse, drai, kane and Holloway, you look how Tampa was able to win 2 back to back cups and go all the way to the finals 3 years in a row, they learned to play a shut down defensive style hockey by every player! Even look back at Detroit, New Jersey, Colorado, and Chicago
My guess also is that Niemo is called up after that game. Other than that not sure about the forwards, I was hoping Hamblin would get some games as I think he earned a shot to play with the big club.
A 2 nothing lead in the first would be nice.

Defence were way too soft. Skinner looked really good with a team that was finally awake. Woody and the coaching staff will correct these early issues. I still believed the team could have come back against the flames. No panic yet. Flames are a really good team 🤮. That was hard to type. Lol. keep the faith and keep the vids rolling .
Nemo needs to be called up. Kadri going around kulak like that doesn't happen with him on the ice. He'd lay out kadri.

It’s been a far cry from the Woodcroft Oilers of last yr, they couldn’t even get up for the battle of Alberta, was anyone having flashbacks from the first 10 mins of game 1 against the Flames.
Bold prediction the starts between Stew and Soup will be pretty much a 50/50 split and Stew starts next game I believe that was probably the game plan before the season even started.
