  1. THINGS ARE GETTING WEIRD WITH JURAJ SLAFKOVSKY… What Are YOUR Thoughts On Slafkovsky’s Play at the NHL Level So Far? And What Would YOU Do? Send Him To the AHL? Give Him More NHL Playing Time? I’d LOVE to Hear YOUR Thoughts! #GravGang #RoadTo65kSUBS

  2. KK 2.0. Anyways The habs are tanking for Bedard and then not selecting him. 😅Average development of prospects like always.

  3. I actually like that third line. At least on paper I do. Top six is getting juggled around. Last game, Dado was on the fourth line, Monahan was on the wing. Things are changing daily, I’d imagine. So I wouldn’t be too focused on who is on which PP unit and shit like that.

  4. I disagree with the powerplay time for Juraj because the habs are trying to sell Dadonov, Drouin, Dvorak, Gallagher, Hoffman and (this one probably the least) Monahan. But for the same reason as I mentionned, I would agree to put Juraj in the AHL. We all know that if it wasnt to try and sell those players, Harvey-Pinard, Pezetta and Slafkovsky would be playing quality minutes in the top 9 (except Pezetta on the 4th)

  5. Looks like he’s loafing out there. Either that or he’s having a problem seeing the speed the game.

  6. he sucks, one good tournament and his first overall lol

should've gone in the second round not first lol

  7. The problem is Montreal’s roster. They only have one line. So you could put Slaf with Suzuki and Caufield. Because putting him with any other duo probably isn’t “setting him up for success.” I think he needs a dynamic center, and then a scrappy guy like Anderson or Gallagher on the right wing. But Montreal doesn’t have many good center options for him if he isn’t with Suzuki. Are Monahan, Dach, or Dvorak good enough at making plays and getting him the puck? 🤷🏻‍♂️ None of those guys are exactly the type of player that is known for carrying the puck and creating space for their line mates.

  8. imagine talking about is faceoff % when the guy is a winger🤦‍♂️ why the fck yt recommended me that guy ffs….

  9. I think Im more confident in the opinion of MLS and Hughes than a weird teenager on youtube…

  10. Armia is hurt
    Only reason he is up
3rd line no minutes no PP
    Is the problem.
BTW there playing the vets Hoffman, Gally, Dvo, etc cuz they want them to produce so they can sell high.
    Toronto media point of view
    Your opinion is abismal sorry

  11. I totally agree with you and it was…very predictable! He did not look good in the prospects games nor did he look good in the pre-season. The Organization and in particular the media set unrealistic expectations for the kid. There is an old expression as how to manage expectations: "under promise, over deliver". Send the kid to the Q or back home and let him develop. INVEST IN HIS DEVELOPMENT!

  12. Slaf is just a part of the rebuild …Expecting him to be a star right away is B.S. ….He is jusy getting used to a new continent , country , NHL etc. etc. …Slaf is a young kid with lots of God given talent …Pipsqueeks shooting off their dumb mouths complaining about him is a disgrace ..I doubt they can even skate , or been in Slaf's country …Try growing up before you start attacking …

  13. Send him to ahl he will learn get his confidence then comeback later in the year he will be even better. A bit like what happened to Caufield last year

  14. You want Slaf to be in the AHL instead of NHL as you feel there is too much pressure on him ..However , you want him to be on the power play in the NHL …Make up your mind on the pressure thing as you change your position mid sentence ,,,,Slaf is deployed properly on the third line while learning ,growing and developing .NEWS FLASH Playing him above the third line and on the power play would add PRESSURE ..After 9 games HuGo will make a decision on where to have him play …To say his situation is getting worse is B.S.

  15. I've seen him do a lot a good things on the ice. He's positioning is great with a few exceptions here and there. He crowds the short side of the boards at times. i think he'll turn around by around game 15.

  16. Couldn't agree more! Slaf should play on the first pp instead of Anderson who is completely useless honestly. I would even give him a chance on a line with Dach and Monahan. Dadonov Dvorak and Gally were playing together in the preseason I dont know why that change …

  17. I disagree.
    1. Management made it clear they were building around youth, prospects and picks. Slafkoski is very young and a prospect we can afford to wait on for a year or two. This was made clear at the time of draft. “We want the player he will become” However in the meantime, there’s a greater need to showcase guys like Drouin, Dadonov, Hoffman and Dvorak as much as possible to move them at the deadline this season.
Unfortunately this relegates big Slaf to the third lineup with Gallagher and another plug.

    2. The idea, in my opinion, is to showcase him for the 9 games early on for fans and club alike. If he shines, we put him down and stay excited about things to come. If he tanks, we send him down and develop him no matter what. Its not St-Louis’ fault in this case. When the right roster is finally strung together by Hughes, we’ll see him him crack top 6 for sure. Of course that depends on his development but that’s the idea.

  18. A child has played 3 hockey games with in a different league with a different style of play on a crappy team and against a bunch of grown men and people are complaining. Morons! I'm not talking about this video I'm talking about the comments I've seen and the people I've seen on twitter pissed he's not lighting the lamp. Seriously people are clowns.

  19. I wonder if Mtl had put Mats Naslund in right away if he woulda turned out differently?

  20. This is the "Lets test Monahan out" period to see what they have.
Once that fails (hoping it doesn't) Slaf will take his spot.

  21. Habs fans and media pressure will always ruin prospects in this market. Middle of the pack team for the next decade.

  22. They Buffalo Sabres are doing the same thing to Jack Quinn… They prefer giving Okposo power play time. Weirds me out.

  23. I’d like to see him get more ice time but don’t think his gas tank can handle it !!! He seems to be lacking cardio and I think that’s why Martin St Louis isn’t give more ice time .

  24. I remember the first season of Joe Thornton, he got like 5 goals and 10 points and must not have played much more than 10 minutes per game… I know it's not the perfect comparison and it was a different time and Slafkovsky is gonna need to adjust to a north american schedule, but sending him to Laval might not be the best option long term….

  25. Can you talk about the top 5 worst teams in the nhl and what they need to do to make it to the playoffs

  26. They need to play the tradable vets hoping they will produce so they can move them for younger players or picks. Slav being a 1st overall pick is only up because of all the hype. They need to move players to open top six positions. If they let him play now and he does not produce fans will fine with him going to the minors. Best place for him to get playing time. It also might be a weak draft year due to Covid. Most of the kids played very little in 2020/2021 so will need more development time.

  27. They are botching this. Slaf is good. What they are doing could ruin his confidence. And no confidence for a rookie is really bad.

  28. Hey Grav,

With rookies needing to play 10 games in a single season in order to start the first official year of their rookie contract, don't you think he will be sent down in laval after that time.period?

Having a 9 game sample.for him to figure out the speed and type ethic you need to play at the NHL level will allow him to know exactly what to work on when he fets sent to Laval in Novembre.

I feel like people are very quick to assume he will spend the full year in the NHL which makes no sense this year.

  29. Baby steps… there was no exceptional players this draft they will take more time … btw just saying wright played a game and then was benched for the last 2 I think… that's what people mean when they say "people are not patient" it's been 3 games tone down the expectations

  30. The coaching decisions and line combinations have been a little weird. Slafkovsky is getting eased into the NHL, it takes time to build comfort. And I'm sure in a game or 2 he will be getting more ice time.

  31. Monahan – Suzuki – Caufield
    Slafkovsky – Dach – Gallagher
    Drouin – Evans – Anderson
    Hoffman – Dvorak – Dadonov

  32. This is why I can’t choose is a general manager in the NHL and you are just a YouTuber… you obviously don’t know what you’re talking about they’re developing this guy the right way and he will definitely play many games in the AHL and then come back up and be ready to dominate in the show

  33. That's karma for giving Shane Wright the shaft like they did. That said, it's way too early to get down on the kid. Three games in is way too early to say that he's disappointing.

  34. Martin St-Louis explained his decisions for the power play that he wants him to focus on 5v5 play first. And better play 10 mins than be a healthy scratch for 2 games in a row like Wright.

  35. IMO the problem is a league issue. Players should be drafted at 19 years old unless they get exceptional status. Not sure the NHLPA would agree with it, but it's clear 18 is too young for most of theme, and 19 is borderline.
