Après un mauvais premier 2 débuts de saison, les fans scandaient pour que Lindy Ruff soit renvoyée. Lors des présentations des joueurs 2022-2023 pour la saison, alors que les entraîneurs étaient nommés, Lindy Ruff a entendu les Boo et a demandé s’ils me huaient et alors que les NJ Devils tombaient dans le match contre les Redwings de Detroit, les chants de feu Lindy et Fire Ruff étaient forts. pour tout le monde et Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald à entendre. La question est de savoir si cela se produit cette saison, est-ce que Tom Fitzgerald Fire Lindy Ruff et l’entraîneur adjoint nouvellement embauché Andrew Brunette prend la relève en tant qu’entraîneur-chef. C’est ce qui est arrivé à Brunette l’année dernière avec le trophée des présidents qui a remporté les Panthers de la Floride et il a bien réussi. Avec le temps de glace limité de Jesper Bratt contre les Flyers de Philadelphie, et mettre Yegor Sharangovich et Alexander Holtz sur la quatrième ligne après que Nico Hischier était prêt à jouer n’était pas une bonne décision. I don’t want to overreact but give it couple more games 🤷♂️ they added a lot and changed a lot but Ruff made no sense to me!
Lindy Ruff was never the right man for this job. The team is clearly not responding to his system or his style of play. Don’t get me wrong, Lindy Ruff isn’t 100% of the problem here. With Blackwood and Vanecek as this team’s goaltending duo, you could put the greatest coaching staff in the history of the NHL behind the bench, and this team is STILL in hell this season. Buckle up for another “rebuilding” year.
The coach I desperately wanted us her in the city I live with the team my bounds for hatred could never get big enough …TORTS. If Lindy does not have Hasek bailing his ass out he is a joke …now we could have that type of goalie…if we drafted ASKAROV. NOPE….we trade for and sign a career AHL goalie who Utica destroyed last year BAHL AND OKHOTYUK SHOULD BE DRESSED EVERY NIGHT, as well as Bastian. Also we need to send a HUGE message to a horrible signing Tatar
Let's all be serious. Ruff being retained was absolutely terrible to begin with. Look at list of real deal legit coaches that were let go after last season yet loser Lindy retains his job. Absolutely stupid .
FItzgerald the GM genuis was a total fool for retaining this coach.
Likewise was also a total fool to NOT upgrade on borderline Blackwood. Signing one career backup gaolie in the off-season was TERRIBLE.
This off-season for NJ was TERRIBLE.
Nj still has WEAK, small, Wussy forwards & have gigantic defenseman who don't check a lick.
The line combos were terrible and the teams "compete level" is absolutely ridiculously awful. The power play still looks totally lost.
You have a goof GM at the 2022 draft statied "We are still in a developmental phase" and you have a washed up coach saying " it's good to feel the emotion of losing".
As soon as NJ fires Ruff and Fitz they will finally start to move in the right direction.
When the organization levels zero expectations, if winning doesn't matter, you have the current NJ Devils organization.
I was at The ROCK for this game and that chant was deafening. I completely get it though. I was so pissed leaving the arena but had to fake it because my youngest was just happy to be at a game….LOL! All we've been hearing is about how good the depth of this team is and how they are positioned to take the next step. The team played solid for almost 2 periods but at the end of the 2nd that was a devastating blow with the 4th goal. The team came out completely flat and uninspired in the 3rd & the fans let them know it. The Devils have to be able to compete for 3 periods. The bad passing and turnovers in the Devils zone were at times mind boggling. This is Hockey 101? Lindy is deservedly on the hot seat and if it continues beyond 10 games Fitzgerald is going to have to fire him to salvage the season.
When a coach has lost the fan base it's inconsequential, so long as he still has the team. When a coach loses the locker room it's time to move on. Ruff needs to go.
I don’t see how you can keep a coach that has demoralized the entire team the last two years. Home opener and season opener games both huge losses with not much energy or chemistry on the lines. I know we have small forwards on certain lines but not playing them properly is just an awful message to the team that he’s already juggling lines 2 games in cause he doesn’t know what to do. Lindy’s system on every team he’s every coached has had pour defensive numbers and got let go from every team because of it. I mean, he’s done his job last year developing young guys. Now let Brunnete or Trotz come in and steer us in the right structure. There’s no reason this team can’t be .500 this year. At this point fans don’t give a shit about playoffs. We want to win more than we lose and that’s very possible with this team.
He should have been let go with the rest of the staff. Instead you gave him months with the new staff to inject his philosophy’s that aren’t working. I felt he lost the team last year and to fire him now while warranted is going to be ugly. You saw it in the preseason. They took so long to cut the roster. We were playing preseason games with players who had no chance including goalies. They should have been one and done so that the team could use those games for form chemistry. We’re there any big surprises out of camp? No. So why did he waste so much time with scrubs? Terrible management decision. Every player in the AHL in this org would have been there the first chance I had save for a small few. A coaching change is the only way we can improve at this point and it’s time. It was time last year.
