Comment un fraudeur a acheté les Islanders de New York

Acheter une franchise NHL pour un milliardaire est un investissement lourd. Acheter une franchise de la LNH pour un mec régulier est… apparemment possible. 1. Since everyone may not know this: The cable rights for the Islanders is not just Long Island. I live in North Jersey (NYC media zone) and get the Islanders as a part of the local sports package. So too does New York City, the local suburban counties, even up to Fairfield County, CT is part of the New York City media region. (Even as far away as Danbury, CT is NYC media… not 100% sure about sports, it's a border area… many Connecticut people are New York sports fans due to local sports broadcasting rules)… So yeah, $85 Million for as many eyeballs as are in this market (even split 3 ways)… and believe me, the Devils aren't as popular as one might think around here… I know a few Isles fans even here in NJ

  2. Spano wasn't just an idiot. He must've been a spoiled child. Props for getting what he could, but…what an airhead. No comprehension of consequences?

  3. The damned thing about it, this beaut did his time, got out and has been convicted two more times.

  4. John Spano was arrested, convicted and imprisoned TWICE more AFTER he was released from prison for the Islanders mess. Kevin Connolly should be ashamed of the 30 for 30 he did. Tried to paint Spano as a sympathetic character, when in face he is a SCUMBAG . Not surprising because Connolly tried to make John Gotti the victim and a decent guy in that turdburger "Gotti" movie.

  5. Boy am I glad the Stars weren't as gullible as the Islanders, and instead sold the team to Tom Hicks shortly after, which led to their most successful era in franchise history.

  6. First payment is to be made to the New York Islanders hockey club for the amount of 50 million dollars..

Spano writes a check for 5,000 dollars 😂
