Love Gallant…..never makes too much of coaching…… believe in your players….and give your best effort. This team has fed off of his attitude. He never overanalyzes a game plan.

Regardless of the outcome tonight the Rangers have taken tremendous strides this year in becoming a relevant TEAM again. From top to bottom this is one of the most complete lineups the Rangers have had in a long while. Tampa did it right in icing a team that had mixed components and not just a one dimensional approach and the result was they won 2 straight cups. Over the past summer the Rangers seemed to model their roster in that way for this year bringing in Reaves and Goodrow and so far its paid some pretty good dividends. It's not all about guys who can score although that is the way you win most games. Gotta have those heart and soul guys that can keep the team loose and ready for anything and I can imagine the players felt far more secure skating around the ice doing what they need to/want to knowing Reaves was around than if he wasn't. Many people were questioning the Reaves trade and then the extension they gave him before he even suited up for 1 game. In my opinion it may have been the best acquisition they had of the entire summer in terms of the effect on the team for this season. Let's go out there and get them tonight and upset all of the people who said we shouldn't have even been in this series. GO RANGERS!

I had the same thought,what an incredible season no matter what happens tonite.As an older fan that was at the Garden in 94 for every incredible game,I have enjoyed this team just as much if not more.I really thought we were a year away, but Igor gives us an edge which keeps us in every game.The hockey Gods will speak tonite,but no matter what,thanks to Gerard and the boys for a memorable season.
