  1. Brandon Tanev's Mug shot ? Oh ! You mean his team picture where he looks like he have seen a ghost ! Big haunted eyes ! Jaw dropped on the floor. Then you look more at other picture and you find out it'.s his normal expression,

  2. I've said this a million times – Seattle is the Islanders West (minus an obvious Barzel level player)

I love the secondary logo. A simple anchor with the Space Needle as the shaft.

  3. On paper, Seattle looks like a team that could make the playoffs especially in that weak Pacific division. Good goaltending and defense. The real question is, who’s going to be their top scorers? If someone breaks out and has a great season, they got a chance.

  4. Maybe Hakstol's second go around as an NHL head coach goes smoother than his first but his hiring still feels like an odd move by Ron Francis

  5. Seattle’s weak forward group is likely to make a painful season for them. They look worse than CBJ and AZ right now.

  6. This honestly seems more of what an expansion team should look like. I don't think they'll make the playoffs but I wouldn't count them out. They look decent.

  7. I wish this team the best.. But then they didn't take Dermott from Toronto like I was hoping. So I hope they fail lol

  8. 28 wins would be pretty good, but in the weak Pacific division I think they could be much better. Playing the California teams, Vancouver and Calgary over and over will help.

  9. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the new team, but I don’t think they are going to have quite the success that Vegas had, but I hope I’m wrong

  10. I don't know. Looking at that list of players, I don't see that Seattle is any better than, say, the Columbus Blue Jackets. People are giving them more of the benefit of the doubt because of what the Las Vegas team did, but I think that's an aberration. I don't think they'll be as bad as some of the expansion teams of the past, like San Jose or Ottawa, but winning 30 games for a first year team is pretty good, and that's where I think they'll come in.

  11. I don’t think they’ll make make the SCF but they may make the playoffs. I think they have a good shot to make it to the postseason.

  12. Strange as it may seem, the Kraken possibly could squeak into the playoffs, especially in the Pacific division, where only the Golden Knights seem like a legit bet to make the playoffs out West. The Oilers probably might make it as well, but the rest of the division is kind of in limbo. The Flames & Canucks have been disappointments and the California teams all still going through rebuilds( though the Kings appear to be itching to get back to playoff contention again ). If all of those teams wind up struggling, that could actually help the Kraken's chances to get to the playoffs in Year 1 if you can believe. But as the Golden Knights have already shown, making the playoffs in your 1st season…? Not as far-fetched as it might've been many moons ago.

  13. Seattle is going to need to play at their best. I don't expect playoffs for them. 5th overall in Pacific

  14. Odds based on not very smart people and one of the reasons why Vegas wins. I’ll give these people 75/1😀

  15. The new jersey devils of the west They will not be a fun team to play or watch. Yuck

  16. Firstly I love that I'm not the only guy with a Metropolitans sweater! Secondly as a Seattle native i'm euphoric. My jersey is ordered and on the way! I've got a really good feeling about Eberle and Donskoi. I'm just excited as a whole, I don't live in Seattle anymore, but it's my home and I'm euphoric I finally have my team.

  17. I live in Missouri and have been rooting for the Blues. But Seattle is my hometown and they finally have a hockey team. I'll probably root for both, but if push comes to shove I'm all in on Seattle. I don't need them to win the cup right out of the gate. I just want a team to believe in.
