Le repêchage de la LNH 2022 s’est terminé et les Devils du New Jersey ont bien fait de stocker principalement des défenseurs dans ce repêchage. Ils ont repêché Simon Nemec 2e au total et ont choisi 4 autres défenseurs pour l’avenir pour grandir aux côtés de Luke Hughes. Les Devils ont également fait un énorme échange et ont acquis le gardien de but Vitek Vanecek des Capitals de Washington pour des choix au repêchage. I like the picks and I am glad fitz did a trade for a goalie
I like the move. They gave up just about nothing and get a consistent/healthy goalie that will give them at least league average goaltending and push blackwood while being a reasonable cap hit
Ok. I will go there. This move will propel the Devils into the playoffs. Vanacek is a solid and consistent goaltender. Blackwood will be healthy. The goalie situation is improved by 1000% over last years dumpster fire.
If we add Johnny Hockey this season could be special.
Like the move for Vanecek and will be interesting to see who wins out the starter role between him and Blackwood.
These offseason moves make me feel better about going into this season than in previous seasons. Good picks, Very good trade. I really do hope it takes the devils in the right direction though.
I like Vanecek, terrific pickup that didn’t cost slot and can push Blackwood or overtake him. Nothing wrong with Competition. The rest of the draft I’m not sure about. Passing on Wright and Cooley could be a huge mistake, Nemec needs to be a superstar for this to be considered a good draft.
I like this move. Now get a goal scorer.

I would like the addition of adding Ondre Palat from Tampa. He’s not a Taylor Hall everyone wants but he brings Championship playing experience to a young team!!!
I'm really not high on the Nemec pick, but I love the value of Vanecek for a 3rd. And apparently Casey was a good pick as well.
Early in the year, i badly wanted Artem Barabosha, this dude is a big kid that likes to HIT and clear out the crease.. i hope in 4-5 years this kid develops and makes it.. 7th round hardly makes it but he is def worth the pick.. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
At this point I feel relieved with the goalie acquisition. Vanecek has excellent stats and he did for the Caps what Keith Kincaid did for NJ… he helped carry the team to the playoffs when it could have easily gone south. Plus he was picked-up almost for free. lol. We spent so much time and effort developing Blackwood and we just have to see him play, but some goalies never fully recover from injuries… Cory Schneider for example. Vanecek could potentially elevate to a #1. I credit Fitzie with solid logic, and I understand his concentration on defensemen with this draft as we literally have playoff level offense right now – but we are still weak in an area that is critical for deep playoff runs… and part of NJ Devil's best history… fearsome D. It's disappointing to loose the shooters that were in the top of the draft class but a judgement call had to be made and lived with. One thing that irritated me about Lou Lamoriello was taking so long for signings and Fitzie is playing it out again with Bratt. I see 7 mill a year for 6 years or he skates away. Or very close to that.
Just watch, in a couple years nemec is gonna be the best player in this draft class
I don’t get it. Vanecek put up better numbers than Samsonov under the same system. Why would you give your starting goaltender to a division rival?
