How the hell is Grubauer being paid to play goalie? He has no concept of puck control and gives up after the first save. He just looks lazy and undisciplined.

if martin necas and andrei svechnikov continue to play at this level, and especially if max pacioretty is still max pacioretty after the achilles injury… this team just might win the cup. with that defense (we knew the top four was nasty, but how good has chatfield been? a rotation of him, coghlan, and CDH on the third pair is comically good) and freddie and raanta in net, there are zero holes on this roster. and depth too in case of injuries. drury, rees, dzingel, stromwall waiting in the wings.
Goal 1: Grubauer needs to be stronger on that post Goal 2: powerplay Goal Goal 3: power play Goal Goal 4: tipped in, Seattle's defense needs to be stronger on clearing that shooting lane Goal 5: shot straight in, grubauer barely even moved.
All in all, Seattle's discipline needs to have the assurance of a great PK. I love that seattle this time around is a lot more gritty. More body checks, more aggression on the rush, but it cannot be at the expense of a weak penalty kill unit. Every power play Goal all four seattle players are looking at the puck, no one is picking up the back door. They're trying to take away passing lanes, but trying and doing are two different things.
Seattle had plenty of chances to score. Their offense was wheeling. They had tons of quality scoring chances that Carolinas tender stood tall, the Carolina defense collapsed down instantly to take the chance away and freeze the puck, or seattle missed the net. Kraken have the firepower and they have the skills required, they need to execute now.

Dave Hakstol sucks. Not that Scotty Bowman would make Seattle a contender. But the sooner he's sent packing the better the Kraken will be for it.
