We should be a solid 75% against a team like Arizona. When you’re under 60% against a roster that weak you’re just asking for a fluky loss.
Analytics aside, there was no flow to the Leafs offence. Several players took undisciplined penalties, ahem, Aube-Kubel and Jarnkrok. It disrupts any kind of game structure. This game should never have been in doubt. Not ever. Leafs allowed 19 shots overall. They had 28. And they controlled the face-off circle. Something was off. And to me it was the flow of the offence, undisciplined penalties and an inexperienced goaltender.
