We desperately needed Holtz at the Draft. He won’t be in NA till 21-22 since he’s already playing in 🇸🇪. I’m so happy that this team is heading to a right direction. Blackwood is our best player so far.
Predicting that the devils narrowly miss the playoffs this season, feel like the goaltending and the goalscoring will be there, just that there won't be much depth so the team will have rought patches, but definatley a team that will be scary not this season but next season.

After a disastrous rookie year, this is the season where we learn whether Jack Hughes' career goes the route of Joe Thornton (who also experienced a horrible rookie season) or Nail Yakupov. Here's hoping the kid realizes his potential and his career unfolds like that of Thornton.

Between the Devils and Rangers drafting first overall every other season and the Flyers drafting in the middle or late in the first round is the reason I know my Flyers will be getting kicked around by these teams soon enough. Flyers cant get by on late round players. These players are just good enough to get you into the playoffs and out by the first or second round. The Flyers get a late round pick because they were a middle of the pack or slightly better team and the cycle repeats lol I still have a little hope for Patrick to play again, but not enough for him to put this team into Cup contention. Flyers need a true #1 Dman and a goal scorer. Sorry for talking so much Flyers on a Devils video everyone, but hes right the Devils are underrated and the Rangers just may be as well and that scares me lol
I hope their young core works out cuz if not…oh boy they're in trouble big time.

i love the point you made about jack hughes not being a bust. it really makes people look so ridiculous when they say that. it’s been one season lmao how can you be sure that he’s a bust already? like he might be a bust but how could we know so early?
As an Avs fan from NJ, I remember several years ago both teams were in the same boat… basically struggling after the end of a dynasty era… watched both teams reform and rebuild.
It was slow and challenging but Sakic did it right and now has one of the BEST teams in the league.
The Devils did everything wrong… was saying after Halls Hart trophy; TRADE HIM WHILE HIS VALUE IS HIGH. There’s just so many problems with how NJ has operated their rebuild. Could learn a lot from Sakic… unpopular trades (I.e the duchene trade that now has Colorado having one of the best blue lines), long term investments, smart drafting, and a long game. The devils haven’t done that and I think they should look at Sakic, plan on a 4 year rebuild and operate around that timeline with trading and drafting…
