    Granted Detroit made the playoffs, however they didn't make SC Appearances when Holland was at helm during the inception of Salary Cap. On the other hand, almost year in and year out Bolts were competitive during Yzerman's tenure and made a SC appearance.

    Rangers could’ve beaten Tampa in 2015 if Zuccarello never was out with a concussion and McDonagh was never playing on a broken foot…… yet the Rangers still took Tampa to a game 7. Probably would’ve beaten Tampa with those 2 guys healthy in 6 games……

    Stevie Y was my favourite player. Reason I choose #19 growing up playing hockey. It’s amazing he’s become almost as good as a GM as he was a player.

    (SY was/is not a GM genius!) It’s simply the truth. SY gets too much credit. The new Ownership was the real foundation of team. SY is probably one of the greatest NHL player Ever! What SY did do, give respect to a laughable front office. Teams would finally return GM calls from TB. That said;

    Proof of my opinion on SY as a GM?
    1.) A terrific Lightning team struggled under poor goaltending for several years. Everyone in the World knew this, except SY. I suffered through every backup, unproven goalie this team had.
    Once Bolts finally got a tired, end of his career Roloson…they nearly went to the SCF. 2.) No mention in this video that SY directly Chose Drouin instead of a Stud Defenseman Seth Jones. The fact that SY was able to cover his A$$ & get Montreal to trade for him is Montreal bad, not SY good. 3.) SY chose Anders Lindback over Ben Bishop, despite every report listed Bishop as best goalie not in NHL (he was in St. Louis blues farm). Lindback was average at best. 1-2 years later..Finally, Luckily the Sens had 3 #1 goalies and gave SY Bishop. The TB scout team chose or recommended the reasonable picks. Now comes the name calling from SY fans who refuse to use logic to view & grade him. BTW, Most great player make terrible coaches & GM’s. It’s across all sports leagues.

    Hey bro Blackhawks Dynasty is infinitely better 😉 2020 and 2021 got major asterisks next to them. 🤣 I do agree Steve Yzerman did an excellent job, I wish he was the Blackhawks GM instead of "paranoid" Bowman🤣 I'll roast my own team too dont worry 😉 lmaoo. But let's be honest 3 cups in 5 years, plus 6 WCF appearances and 12 consecutive playoff births in a 12 year span. Not to mention several HoF players and coach who is top 3 in All-time wins. What Tampa has done is impressive I give them that. But a fluky 2020 qualifying round that saw the Dallas Stars of all teams make the finals. And then also during a shortened regular season in 2021 ya'll we're blessed by facing the Candadiens who have been a bottom 3 team in the NHL since. And it's not like they were good before then either lol. Last time Montreal was good they swept the Lightning in the first round like over 7 years ago lol.

    My Hawks had to play the presidents trophy winning flyers in 2010, a legendary peak Bruins team in 2013, and a very fast and respectable Lightning team in 2015 (with essentially the same core they got today). Thennnnn we all come back to reality as the Avalanche is asserting control on the series as early as game 2 lol. 🖖✌️

    First round selections are expected to be good this doesn’t show you a GM skills – do you think the oilers are the greatest GM IN history cause they selected Connor firsts – no – the 4 the round separates the men from the boys ten5 and 6 round expos the GM s who aregot their selections from sport centre anf the 7th round is where the genius and the best of the best GM in history’s re made – doing well in the first round and with early second round selections is expected and as am NHL leader this should be xoevted and constant – if you think taking a good player with an early second d round pick means he’s. Genius you don’t know what the word means – find a gm in the 7th if you want that title – but wings fans lee their pants because the 5th over all puck wasn’t crap -that’s how bad your organisation is your a practice team for real teams like Colorado

    If you wanna see which general mangers are the best and which ones are pretenders you don’t look at the first round . That won’t tell you anything – the 5th round is where selections become far less obvious and spotting talent becomes difficult and only the very best general managers are able draft and produce players in the 7th round – whenever I ask people to explain why they feel steve is so good they tell me all about his first and 2 d round selections – drafting a talented player in the first rounds is the bare minimum expected from all GMs – but wings fans think making a good pick. With the 6th over all selection is the work of a genius

    Let me save you the suspense – Stevie hasn’t made a draft choice past the the 5th round as a general manager in Tampa or Detroit that has played 100 games in the NHL or been remotely impactful – and in the 7th round the place where only the best GM stand any chance of of finding talented players Stevie has a record of absolute zero | not one player in this round drafted by Stevie has set foot on NHL ice

    Wings fans are so impressed by draft picks made in the first 2 rounds or obvious signing like winning a 50 goal scorer in order to add scoring its crazy

    Stevie isn’t a good GM – his signings are obvious and simple and his drafting almost exclusively comes from the early rounds – the 5th round and later Stevie is essentially useless and has an abysmal record and those rounds are the ones that identify who knows what they are talking about and who just copied the mick draft in ESPN

    and if your still not convinced wiki Stevie y 2010 draft as he’d of Tampa – it is the worst draft ever by any GM I’m history – not one 0layer he drafted in any round had any impact – his second. Round pick played in the ECHL –

    Wake up wings every team has prospects they got from the fist round – Stevie isn’t a genius – numbers don’t lie – mangers who are nit very good don’t draft NHL players in the 5th round and later they just don’t know what to do when ESPN hasn’t done a mock draft for them to copy and Stevie is useless in these rounds because he isn’t talented

    And before the comments tell me how he built the lightning – no he didn’t – the franchise framework was in place for success before he came and all he added was first and second round picks and signings of players that where already proven – non of which requires much skill –

    GM that are genius draft good players in the 5th round and later and Stevie hasn’t done that – he’s bellow average – that’s why wings fans celebrate Stevie while missing 5he playoffs each year –

    Look it up 2010 draft for the lighting – it is truely fascinating to see who he could have picked in each round and then how badly his pick was in every single round. – when you actually add evidence to the claim he is. Genius and stop trying to claim making a good choice with a 6th over all selection makes him the best GM in history and you realise he has nit made any picks in the late rounds that have had success you ask yourself why are other general managers drafting players in these rounds and he hasn’t been able to at any point ever
