Why did they not start Samsonov? Just throwing it out there
Denis Malgin was one of the best in presaeson, skored with Nylander in the first game..and since then he gets practically no ice-time anymore (less then 9 minutes against the Coyotes), no chance to confirm his talent…incomprehensible coaching!
25:00 it happened last year in a caps leafs game. caps had a goal taken away, that was a coaches challenge though. it should not be a reviewable play, simply based off the wording of the rule. the rule puts all the emphasis on the subjective opinion of the on ice officials. it is completely left up to the officials opinion if a stoppage should be called or not. its impossible for a subjective opinion to be wrong, therefore it is impossible for it to have been a missed stoppage. even if its reviewable, the situation room should not be making the call like they did, the on ice official should based on their opinion. the situation room cant assign an opinion to an official.
Would also be nice if our team captain did some actual ‘captaining’. The scary thought is that he probably DID – and that this effort was STILL the result! 🙄
Avs fan here so let’s talk Justin holl he played awesome against the caps gets game winner against Ottawa and has a brutal game here this guy must drive you guys nuts so next game is a crapshoot.
Is samsonov maybe hurt a little and they don’t want to talk about it maybe something minor for the leaf fans asking why he didn’t start would look really bad if both are injured at the same time.

Glad you mentioned Mitch's celebration – looked like they had won the first round of the playoffs or something (not that he would know) – he needs to stay "humble" like Khabib says. Leafs really have nothing to be cocky about, so Mitch needs to reevaluate his own contribution.
Come on guys, if you need a home office review going your way against the 'Yotes at home you need a reality check. And brining up other "non-calls" against the Leafs looks like grasping – sounds sad and pathetic actually. Just admit Leafs suck and this year could be a total disaster. No Murray, no Muzzin, Sandin's heart is not with the team and Matthews has lost his scoring touch. With Samsonov as your main between the pipes you are in serious trouble. Keefe/Dubas gone by Christmas latest.
"Kerfoot was trying on the ice….." – which means what, the other guys are not trying as hard?? I don't get it – working hard is what they are paid for.

Muzz is done – 33 but plays like a 43 year old.
Rielly is not looking great this year – getting caught up the ice way too many times for goals/chances the other way. He needs to step up big time with his contract.
