Winning, I missed you so much 😭. Time to get on a roll boys 😈

  2. Just gotta double the other team in shots. It’s that simple.

  3. Franzblau

Dougie just wrote a whole essay on that camera lens.

  4. Tacitus_99

Congrats on the milestone, Lindy. Now please retire before this gets ugly.

  5. Devil_Dane

I asked the boys to not fuck this up, and they listened!

    I love it.

  6. Marino is a stud

Ruff benching Holtz is so stupid. We were dominating them basically the entire game, there was no reason to sit him.

  7. DontDraftSmall

What’s amazing is that despite letting in 4 goals, the Ducks goaltender had a higher save percentage than Mac .902 V .900. Great effort by the guys

  8. FriedCammalleri23

    Ah ok, I understand now.

We were giving the league a head start by starting out 0-2 before we go 80-2 for the rest of the year.

    PLAY GLORY DAYS MOTHER FUCKERS

  9. Whalers7997

It’s a win. Still think there needs to be a change. Unless Philly and Detroit are that damn good.

  10. ucallthesebagels

Hated the Palat signing as an overpayment vs production. But as a proven winner and clutch player that presence on a very young group of fowards is worth way more than what his stats will show.

  11. Internetter1

Extremely lucky Nico wasn’t hurt after he got rode into the stanchion like that

  12. Signal_Strike2770

If I’m Holtz I’m asking for a trade if this goes on much longer. Dude has nothing left to accomplish in the AHL.

  13. NJDevilFan

Devils outshooting their opponents 117 to 67 so far this season

  14. NewJerseyDevilGuy

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT DOUGIE WROTE ON THE CAMERA?!

  15. OBAFGKM17

Well done, Devils, much improved in the 2nd half if the game, let’s string a few good periods together now!

  16. chrishic99

    1. It’s still fire lindy. The way he managed the players tonight was abysmal. Benching holtz for 2/3 of the game is inexcusable. And then benching wood for a part of the third is stupid.

    2. We beat the ducks who are notorious for letting up a boatload of goals on the back half of a back to back where they got ragdolled by the rangers.

    3. We did play well. Especially Blackwood. He looked like vintage Blackwood coming into the second period.

    4. Let’s keep this energy on Thursday. It’s a must win.

  17. Urmomletmerubher

    And they never lost again…

  18. DenKaneyko

Everyone shitting on Ruff for benching Holtz but we ripped off 4 unanswered after the change. Holtz is in a real tough spot if he can’t crack that top 6 but realistically there was no place to put him tonight

  19. DaMonstaburg

Whew!!! Got out of that one lads! Good win, far from perfect, but good win!9

  20. ChannelShot7061

Anyone got a clip of the Blackwood save?

  21. DontDraftSmall

“Win Battles”, O. Palat. Should be the season mantra. Somebody make a T shirt

  22. nomorehome

if they keep putting up 40 shots a game we’re gonna do this winning stuff a few more times.

  23. Kornja81

Ayyyy retire Ruff go out a winner!!+

Send Holtz down or trade him. He’s being wasted on the 4th line/ benched. No reason for Bastian and McLeod to get more ice time than Holtz or play instead of Zetterlund.

  24. MountainBaker8217

    Thoughts:

    1. Bratt Points and Hughes Points! Lets see if we can get these two some goals next.
    2. Someone please tell me what Holtz did? Why was he benched for two whole periods?
    3. I said this in the game thread, but I’ll say it again, Ruff’s player management is pretty horrendous. He iced three good looking lines, but thats not sustainable for an entire season. You need four lines.
    4. Glad Blackwood got his stuff together for the second and third period.
    5. I think our top two lines are pretty set. Wood and Haula look good together, but I really want Holtz to get ice time and he doesn’t belong on a line with Bastian and McLeod or really with Wood and Haula. Maybe Holtz and Zetterlund and…someone? I don’t know.
    6. Still don’t think Ruff is any good for this team long term. It really doesn’t feel like he had anything to do with the turn around in this game and it really was just the boys stepping up and playing fun hockey.
    7. I’m on the Marino train.

  25. theotherjd

Can we all calm the hell down? I get that it’s been a long road, but it’s a new season and it’s only GAME THREE. People were posting about firing the entire organization mid-game; a game we went on to win 4-2.

We are still a young team. Almost half of the roster are new to the team or playing their first full season in the NHL. We will lose. We will win. Just stop acting like the sky is falling before the season is even a week old.

  26. 1defense

i wish we had a right handed winger that could score goals

  27. DavidPuddy666

Jesper Bratt is the best player in the NHL.

  28. kyletres

After that first period I was ready to back the bus right over mac but man did he come up solid the rest of the game. Other than the Henrique breakaway which was a post, he made timely saves and kept the team in it. Exactly what we need. Goaltending like that will keep us in most games.

Yeah it’s the ducks but a win is a win and hopefully we can string them together now

  29. skeed1187

Building blocks. Wins are wins, even if we’re down. Rather be down early and at least have a chance to come back.

  30. quantum_monster

    Great comeback!

(Still get rid of Lindy though)

  31. chrishic99

Now that ruff is 5th all time for wins by a coach can he retire? That would be nice. Go out gracefully

  32. i_saw_nothing

    Good luck in Brampton, Holtzy!

  33. FireGase

Bruh time for a new back drop during the interviews. Shits ripped and battered. What are we the Newark Bears?

  34. armchaircommanderdad

Minus the first 10 minutes we looked great.

Lines played well together, and having options on do to break out was noticable. You saw guys hustling back to give outlet pass options, which in turn let us feed the higher up quick guys in the neutral zone

Jack was buzzing, snakebitten but he will start scoring a lot. Holy crap is he quick. Also doing a good job not getting banged up on the boards for the most part.
