Avs just gotta clean up the penalties. I know it’s only game 3 but damn. We got lit up this game and against the flames on the PK.

Some teams have talent,but dont always give great effort. Some teams have decent talent,& give great effort,but r low iq teams,who beat themselves,(Broncos)-then other teams have talent,give great effort,& are a smart team on balance,who find ways to win.
Even though theyve lost some forward talent/depth-Avs r still a smart team,with great effort-(& still top 3ish talent)-WHO DONT USUALLY BEAT THEMSELVES! Sometimes that makes a lot of the difference. Just ask the Chargers for the last decade or so…or the Broncos now.
Relax Jess…its game 3,& they are the defending champs. I expected a slow start…theyve actually been a bit better than I expected. You cant get that up or down about ANYTHING-for at least another 6 weeks or so. Except injuries-thats the only thing that is concerning any time.
Refs are always hard on the Avs, before and post Champs, we'll get better at the pk, or not.

Don't forget the penalty kill was good in the playoffs but guys were breaking their feet and hands in order to get it done. We need to stay healthy especially with Landy and helm out
Last season they had a very slow start for a few games then became cup champs. I'm chilling, but I really need to see line 2 do something in the next few games
All seems well so far. A worse team without an elite second line. But so far still great. Just a terrible first half of the game in Calgary, after playing the game before and Chicago not getting them ready for a good team that started so well. Hopefully our top 6 can be healthy most days in the second half of the year. Landy, MacK, Nuke sounds good, and Lehky, Rants and Newhook sounds good too. Rants deserves line 1, but so does nuke, and then we have someone who really wants to be the one handling the puck on line 2. Newhook, and even Rodrigues have time to find another level, if healthy the fins as wingers and the long season should help immensely.
