  1. Lol. It's almost like these guys have just looked at the stats and have never watched a hockey game in their life.

  2. I like the blues matching up to Colorado. Blues a bit deeper. Colorado may have a goaltending issue if Kemper can't go. Blues special teams a little better.

  3. You guys are really not the more physical team. As a team who shut down the grief line that BODIED you guys in the regular season, we are clearly the more physical team. You guys do not have a single player that can stylistically match Braden Schenn

  4. When you talked about “paying pavel buchnevich”😂😂😂😂 buddy we fleeced him for Sammy Blais and some other pigeons and are paying him about 3.5😂

  5. Blues fan here: y’all make so many great points and are spot on about pretty much everything. I would give the blues maybe a 20% chance of winning this series.

however there are a few things i want to mention: the blues top 9 is not only deep but really talented as well. no it’s not Mac Mikko or Landy but the talent is there not just in scoring but defending and playing physical. When you’re 9th best forward is brandon saad, that’s deep… Take barbashev. he was drafted as an offensive but but He played his career on the bottom 6 because he was willing to do the dirty work to stay in the NhL. now he’s older and has fantastic linemates and just went off this year in terms of points but also kept that grit. (i know kadri is pretty physical but not sure what other avs players do that but im sure there are)

Experience of winning the cup especially for a goaltender like binnington is invaluable.

I think the biggest thing y’all have discussed so far (i’m at 39:35 rn) is the pressure. The blues have no pressure. they’re supposed to lose this series. The avalanche are once again hyped up as a cup favorite. do they take the blues too lightly and find themselves behind a couple games? do they go up a couple games and hit the cruise button? How much tighter are they going to grip the stick when st. louis is just playing loose.

    Also Bednar vs Berube.
Berube has pushed the right buttons so far, is bednar up to a coaching/matchup battle?

we shall see. goodluck to the avs, and let’s all pray that these teams stay healthy.

  6. If the aves are able to get past the blues, just remember…there’s a 95% chance that your reward is Connor Mcdavid. :0

  7. Kemper vs Oettinger. Who should Sakic go for in the offseason if Kemper is asking too much?

  8. What team wouldn't an aves fan be confident to play against? Very good team. Rubber on ice though, go blues

  9. First, on paper, the aves were the best overall team this season.

However, the guys here made a few assertions that may not be true.

They gave a lot of credit to their guys for scoring against the Preds. I’m not sure how much will translate for the aves between the first round vs the one good line, rookie goalie Preds team and second round, battle tested Blues with tons of experience and possibly a chip on their shoulders from last year.

The guys here were not aware that the Blues third line (Kyrou, Barbashev, Saad) is better than the aves third line.

On offense, they focused a lot on Perron and O’Reilly (7th and 8th in points) but hardly mentioned Tarasenko and Kyrou (1st and 4th in points). If you really want to get an idea of how the series will go you can’t just look at the first round results. The regular season matters too.

Kyrou or Faulk would be my X-factor candidates.

  10. I think the fact the blues played a better series than avs did, they will have a lot more steam coming in. Avs played an ahl team in nashville.Nashville.. and quit talking about bubble hockey in 20 and 21. And guys.. print out facts sheets…

  11. We didn't miss Newhook against Nashville. I agree that he needs playoff experience to help his development, but there's a reason Bednar didn't use him and I'll wager it's a good one. Can't criticize the Coach on this one. You may want to, but you can't.

  12. Bias is fine, but saying Parayko and Leddy will get 'worked' by MacKinnon after that very pairing absolutely shut Kaprisov down every game that it was in is just flat out ignorant.

In fact, everything you guys said about the Blues' D was ill informed. I'm baffled.

  13. I think what’s not mentioned is anything about Brayden Schenn. He is due for a few goals in these playoffs. I think can frustrate the opposition and constantly be a thorn in the side of the Avs depth players. Kadri can do that for the Avs too. I think that is where the real match up to watch lies.

  14. You guys need to have a more well rounded podcast. Love what you’re doing, but in this case, you guys will look stupid if the Blues win. Basically spent the whole podcast talking about how the Blues pretty much don’t stand a chance and it’s pretty much impossible to even think about stopping the Avalanche.

  15. I have to very strongly disagree about Blues not being deeper offensively. I don't think their bottom-6's are even comparable. But yeah, Avs in 5 or 6.

  16. Toewes also missed 15 games or something…he actually was on like 16-17 goal,& right about 70 point pace-had he played 82 games…even a bit more amazing than those raw stats you gave. Ya gotta factor in games missed…just like Landy,Mac,Kadri,Nuke,& others. Ya Kadri had 87 points…in 71 games. He finished on exactly 100 point pace in regular season.
