I enjoyed watching this on my phone, on his phone. All jokes aside, I can see why they picked him, well spoken, looks like a great pick. Time will tell. LGRW🐙🏒🤘
I admit going into the 8th pick he wasn't on my radar as much as some of the other prosepcts. I trurly believe all the teams that passed on Brad Lambert esp the Red wings not trading back up for him as he dropped from the top 10 to 30 is ridiculous, but that being said, rewarching his tape I saw all the abilities Yzerman saw. His deking, agility, and competitveness really stood out. He seems to be an above average passer as well. I dont know how fast he truly is as he plays with great pace, Iq, and discipline but it didnt seem like he would blow past everyone like some nhl skaters or the aforementioned. He was given a bo horvat comparison which would be a god send for the wings. He does have great drives to the net in that way. I hope his face off ability is as great as Bo Horvat as its my number 1 want out of a centerman.
Seems like a good kid and a good prospect. I thought the Wings would either pick him or Nazar. Nazar seems more like a Zegras flashy type of center while Ghost (Kasper) seems more like a Larkin type of center maybe with a bit of Bertuzzi. I look forward to seeing him with the Wings in the near future.
