The man has GOT TO HAVE A FREAKING photographic memory, he knows every damn player in the league, what kind of player they are, what their strong points are what their weak points are what they ate for lunch in grade six Tues Sept 14 1996 and whether they're tightie whitie, boxers or boxer briefs, what they're making, what they're actually worth and what they're likely going to get when their contract is up etc. etc.!!

Not a Panthers fan but I like this for them. They get a rare elite winger in the absolute prime of his career for the next 8 years. Huberdeau and Weegar are both pushing 30. Makes sense to me that Calgary would want a 1st rounder on top of it, being 2025 pick isnt bad for Florida though, it's a ways off, shouldn't really affect them too much. Not sure how good Schwindt will end up being, but throwing that in there too seems like a little overkill. The offers for Tkachuk must have been very strong from other teams. 2023 First round, strong prospects, younger overall players, is, I'm sure, what Florida was up against. But yeah, this works well for both teams imo.

Great news for Habs fans!!! Now that Huberdeau is North of the Border, the Gravitational Pull to his home Province will be very strong. PLD and Huberdeau in Montreal in two years under the Supervision of another Great former Dynamic Duo: Lecavalier and St Louis. Things are looking bright for the future of the Canadiens!!! 🙂

This is a great trade for both teams. I find it hilarious frame fans are acting like they got something. Flames got a very late round 1 pic. A b/c prospect and two guys to trade at the deadline. Have no idea who won till we see who they get for them at the deadline

If your the Calgary Flames, how do you refuse a deal like that. Huberdeau is Elite multi point player, others in that trade aren't too bad either.
Could be a win-win, either they re-sign one/both or they trade both of them mid-season for players and picks.
Flames got taken BIG time. Huberdeau will not come near what Tkachuk is worth. Last year was JH's best year but with the Flames, he will drop by 30 points. Tkachuk on the Panthers will increase what he is already been able to do.
Quite sure the Loser Leafs are on Huberdeau's no trade list! 🤣😂🤣

Unless Huberdeau walks (and to a lesser extent Weegar), this is a huge Calgary W. They’ve kept themselves in cup contention and if it goes haywire mid season they can always trade them and rebuild.
