Do exactly what Lane is doing, move people around until you find chemistry. IMO, if that doesn't get them going, healthy scratch anyone who isn't scoring over a sustained period of time, newb or vet. I think Lane is still in the experimental stages here. He knows these guys weren't paired mainly for scoring in years past. Trotz liked to have 2 defensive forwards with a scoring player. Lane needs to figure out who matches well with who to get some pucks in the net while playing good (not lockdown) defense. Hell, Trotz had Beau playing on his off side most of the time. It's going to take a little time.
The 2 guys I wouldn't have too much patience with are Palm and Parise. I like both, but they need to start showing up on the score sheet early this season.
