People gotta realize. Jets dominated the first half of the game. Left georgiev out to dry. However that OT goal brutal but at least we picked up a point
With that said it’s only game 4, people need to stop freaking out.
This is a totally new offense literally.
We lost Kadri sturm Kubel burky along with helm and landy on IR.
That’s literally two lines gone already.
The 4th line this game was literally call ups.
If by game 10 nothing changes then maybe start to get a little worried but it will take some time to gel
I member last year we started off slow 4-5-1.
Not a bad "tie"-Jets have talent,& to be down 3-1,with 3 min left in the 2nd-not a bad point. Sure ya always want to win,but I expected the Avs would have a bit of a Cup hangover,& with Landy out…thought wed start slowly this season.
Still could happen,& theres plenty to fix-but 2-1-1 is a pretty good start. I work at the arena,so I dont get to see the whole game,& havent watched the replay yet…but Im not upset about this result at all.
And anybody remotely panicking or acting like this is remotely a big deal…either hasnt watched many sports…let alone an 82 game nhl regular season. Or are completely reactionary,emotional,& just dont get it.
Im starting to get a tiny bit concerned about the 2nd line,(really its mainly because I was already concerned,& not convinced they would be good enough…before camp even started.) I still think eventually we will need to trade for another LEGIT top 6 forward,as I said the second Kadri left.Newhook,& Rodriguezs early struggles,& Landy being gone for so long,have only convinced me more so of that. But its still too early for any big changes,& no conclusions are close to being drawn yet.
In the weaker west,I still think we can be patient,let it play out…but eventually that hole will probably need filling. But now is not that time…everything is fine in Av land for now,& this organization has earned our full trust,& deserves a lot of patience,& leeway from us. Theyve more than earned the benefit of doubt,& I trust theyll do what needs to be done,when that time comes. But we arent even close to that point yet.
Cant wait to welcome back Burky Friday…hope the fans do the right thing,& give him a warm return welcome-his game 1 OT goal vs TB ALONE shouldve earned him that much. And he was a good dude,player,& teammate…he had like 62pts last yr-those guys dont fall off trees,& we miss him also-though just like Kadri-they just couldnt bring him back. Hes not the loss of Kadri,but they both were very valuable,& will be tough to replace.Grubauer on the other hand…I probably wouldnt boo him -but I wouldnt welcome him back warmly either. As an employee-I cant boo anyways-lol.

I hope he settles into an average, instead of mountains and valleys. Very sad to learn about Landy's knee surgery in the game opening… 12 weeks is a major OOOOF. Add to the steaming pile of shit…. Myers > Megna, Blidh, Kaut. Needed a big play from Cale or Mack.
the only reason why they were able to score was because the Jets player stick broke and that’s why they were hemmed in the zone and then it kind of started the avs momentum during that shift but other than that the Jets played really well especially in the third they were good at not forcing the play and playing good defensive hockey
Jets spent lots of time in your zone, I seen the Jets dominate teams, people have got to get this out of their head, the jets are not last year’s team, they have a great coach in Bonnes and when healthy have ehlers on the top line, last year was a fluke, Maurice was a horrible coach, the Jets are a playoff team that could be a problem for other teams in the playoffs, they did reach the conference finals not that long ago, people forget I guess
