Clearly Bruce is a nice guy. But not sure why Vancouver is still employing him carrying over from last season missing the playoffs. Sure his win loss record was decent when he took over as head coach for Vancouver, but still missed the playoffs. Through the span of his coaching career (15 years I believe) he's finished first in his division with multiple teams, a Jack Adams Award recipient in 2008, but sadly, absolutely crumbles in the playoffs. You watch these press conferences and it just looks like Bruce is a little bored of coaching. Been there done that is the vibe he's projecting. Bruce is also an accomplished businessman and could probably play a decent role in the Canucks executive offices, but he's not exactly Tony Robbins giving life changing speeches in the locker room when the chips are down. Nice guy, but needs to hang up his coaching hat and take on a different role with the Canucks. IMHO, Bruce would probably be a better GM than coach. As a passionate hockey fan, I can only say..come on Bruce you've got a room full of pro athletes listening to every word you say, you've got get more pumped up buddy and start showing way more energy, passion and leadership for your guys. Your body language and energy isn't going to motivate a telemarketing sales team let alone an NHL hockey team. Bruce it's your job to make your team "believe", until you figure out your own mental and emotional strength that's just not gonna happen. Full disclosure, Vancouver's not my team and not my city, but sincerely best wishes to Vancouver on game 4. Let's win one for the beautiful city of Vancouver.
