Absolute sucker for the blue/black/gold color scheme.
I would love it if these were just our third jerseys.
To me an ideal third jersey is the answer to the question of “what if this team played in an alternate universe and had a totally different color scheme.” The Caps have that answer in their history already so it would be great to lean into it. But I wish we could just ditch the blue W jersey and wear these as our thirds. I’ve never liked the blue W jersey (forgettable logo and boring color choice imo) and between the reverse retros and the blue W jerseys we’re now wearing alternate jerseys for 17 out of our 41 home games, so almost half of the time. That’s wayyy too much, you need to establish an identity and stick with it for it to be successful imo.
