  1. Yeah if he’s going for $7.75M, we can ship Bo out of town for hopefully some decent assets.

  2. TheRagingDesert

That’s a joke, bo isn’t as good as couturier. I wouldn’t pay bo more than 6.5, I would rather just ship him out he wants that much.

  3. Actual-Studio1054

Lol see ya later Bo. Enjoy playing somewhere else.

  4. steppewarhawk

Of course the agent is going to try to get maximum money for his player, doubt this will be where the contract negotiations settle though.

  5. ProfCharlesSexavier

Essentially tanks his trade value. Zero leadership.

  6. qwertyqwerty1899

We already gave JT what he wanted, we simply cannot do this if we have any hope of fixing our defense in the next 10 years.

  7. AppealToReason16

Wow I can’t believe an agent wants lots of money for his player. This is crazy. Since when does this happen?

  8. RyanLeeLightning

I’ll never forget those sick goals in the bubble Bo 🤝 don’t let the door hit ya

  9. BroliasBoesersson

Lol it’s wild how many of ya’ll don’t understand negotiations. Just because he’s asking for what Couturier gets doesn’t mean he thinks he’s worth that much. Players always ask for more than they think they’ll get so it gives them room to come down

  10. Sinochick

His agent shouldnt’ be asking for more than what Petey is currently making. However, Canucks are in a tough spot since it’s becoming clear that Miller can’t be a top 6 center. I guess Miller can be a top 6 center for a middling to bad team but if Canucks have ambitions to be a playoff team, Miller can’t be a top 6 center.

  11. HighburyOnStrand

Couturier is an elite defensive center. Horvat is a good defensive center.

Couturier is a strong offensive center. Horvat is an above average offensive center.

If elite NHL player is a 9 or a 10, then Couturier is an 8 and Horvat is a 7.

It’s not apples to oranges, but Horvat is an elite #2 center…but you can’t pay 8m to your #2 center without pain being felt in other areas…

  12. SpectreFire

You mean the guy who’s passed the 70 points marks twice already, and has been near PPG for the past 4 seasons?

While also being a constant favourite for the Selke?

    Yeah fuck off Bo.

  13. GangreneMachine

He can get paid that somewhere else. He’s not worth that.

We should start looking at a trade for help on defence.

  14. arazamatazguy

Didn’t we already do this story?

  15. Crazyguy75

Tbh I think 7-8 is where it lands and I think it’s fair. I mean cap is gonna rise like 4m next year so it’s not going to handicap the team either. Horvats good and deserved to be paid also he’s the captain. If he lands at 7.75 I’m cool with it.

  16. DrexellGames

Trade him before its like another Tanev/Markstrom situation. I don’t really think he’s worth that much for a 2nd line center

  17. Only-Nature7410

I wouldn’t pay a dime until they figure out the room drama. Shouldn’t get looped in that contract and then find out issues and handcuff yourself.
Might be time to trade some assets weather be Bo or someone else.

  18. JTMilleriswortha1st

    Horvat isn’t worth it

  19. DJ_Molten_Lava

Who do y’all think will be the new captain?

  20. Laika4321

This team shouldn’t make more long term commitments to a core that has yet to achieve mediocrity

Miller went from a premium asset to an albatross the moment he signed his extension. The same would be true for Horvat

Trade him to the Avs or another contender, cause the Canuck sure as shit aren’t one.

  21. Hoofisoz

What a clown. Gonna trade Horvat if this guy’s serious.

  22. emptyhoods

That’s gunna be a hard no. Come back to the table with a realistic expectation.
