  1. this Sharks draft gets an "M for Meh"! big reaches with first two picks. Havelid by far the best pick they made. Fisher's a wild card. goalie whatever. unfamiliar with the rest.

  2. Havelid and fisher are my only hopes to be decent but the athletic gave us a B grade so idk

  3. I can't help but feel like we passes on a lot of talent but I've been proven wrong by Doug Wilson Jr. before so I guess we'll see how it all plays out. Bystedt and Havelid should at least be decent if nothing else

  4. It's funny, like nothing that's been covered on the show has had any relevance to the draft 🙂 but it was fun speculating – thank you for the interesting content.

  5. Btw, I like the trade. It's an upgrade to the bottom-6 with potential. And they gave up on Jon. So it's 3rd for a legitimate NHLer who will contribute now instead of in 3-4 years. He is young and with more responsibility he can flourish. I felt good about it.

  6. Still peeved that we didn't pick Lambert at 27. UGH.

Don't get me wrong – I like Bystedt – I think he has more upside than a lot of the guys taken before him (including Geekie), but I think we could have had him later AND picked the higher upside of Lambert.

Havlid at 45 is great! And I really love the Fisher pick – might be the saving grace of this draft.

  7. Täby, that's where I grew up. (Living in California now.) You almost had it right the first time you tried to say it. 🙂

  8. i agree on the 3rd round giveup from 2023. If I had to guess, they figure they'll recoup it, but they really should be looking at this as loading up on 2023 picks in the first 3 rounds. Give up your 2022 3rd if you're giving one up and hold on to those 2023s with white knuckles. They couldn't find another energy winger for less cost than Kunin? He's not bad for what he is but it's about what you're giving up to get.

  9. didn't know much about Lund before the pick, but watching some film afterwards, he actually looked like he could git up and go plus he had good pushoff burst in small areas of ice in offensive zone to gain separation for scoring chances. I was surprised he looked as quick as he did for a good sized dude. But, I don't where he would have gone had they not taken him at 34. Maybe they were targeting Owen Beck, who went at 33. That would've been a decent pickup in that spot were he there.
