cant shine shinola Danny. This team is horrendously untalented. There is no "young talent". Most of these guys are not even NHL caliber, especially Frost and Tippett. This will be year 11 in what has been a death spiral of this franchise, with Fletch putting the final nails in the coffin. This franchise is a rotting, festering corpse that has destroyed its relationship with the fans and city. Al Arbour/Scotty Bowman/Toe Blake could not resurrect this dead carcass. Better start looking at property in Houston.

Sounds good in a dream, but in reality there is not enough talent. No stars to rally around, no high-end scoring sniper, no in-your-face defender. Plenty of Injured "what-ifs & maybes". Plenty of AHL journeymen, buried there because other coaches realized they didn't have the "right stuff" years ago. It will be bad again. I give them 2 yrs, probably less. Torts, Fletcher, Danny — all will be fired. Comcast sells team & new ownership group moves franchise to Houston.
As a beloved Flyer, it was near the end of his career. This can be the high point if he can turn this woeful team around.

Briere’s a legend. I’ll never forget playing against his two sons when they were on Team Comcast (we got blown out)

Danny may have been a good player, but that does not always translate to anything in coaching and GM world. He has been affiliated with the Flyers for years but has not seemed to be the answer to anything.
